We all used caps in the 80s. Foils didn’t exist when I did my apprenticeship. We didn’t use thin plastic like these. I can imagine the colour can seep through easily with these. We used the rubber caps…and with practice, like anything, we got amazing highlights/streaks. Foils are not the only way to get great results 😄

I'm an ER nurse/ former EMT, and have used trauma shear scissors to cut my hair. So soooo bad! They cut seat belts, and are made to cut through pennies etc..great for the shaggy dog look. My hair stylist was beside herself when she had to fix it. 😂.
