I love the x17- System too. Sadly they are not true A5 sized, but cutting down some nice Inserts is not that much work and I can choose whichever paper i like the most that way!

I like Rhodia notepads in all shapes and sizes and they are my souvenir every time I visit France BUT the blanc web notebook I have is absolutely horrible. I can not understand this is the same paper (120 grams?). All my inks in wet medium or stub nibs feather and the pens squeak like chalk on a board. Also all my inks don’t shade anymore but are plain dull straight colours. So no Rhodia notebooks for me anymore. Would have really liked to try the A5 landscape but I’ll stick to Leuchtturm. What are your experiences with Oxford paper? Bought some on my last rip to France.

If you properly fit the two extra notebooks (notebook 1 and notebook 3) into a Midori notebook cover, they are fitted behind the first notebook (notebook 2), with the elastic holding the two notebooks together inside the loop of the elastic fitted to the cover. In this configuration the two added notebooks would not fall out when the cover was treated in the way you treated yours.

So did Travelers eve4 respond to anyone? I learned about TNs a couple of months ago. And was disappointed about the fuzzy camels they’re making now. I guess it’s a sourcing thing. But they could, at least, inform customers of the reason for the drastic change in their product. Their only saving Grace, for me anyway, is how effortlessly the pliable leather conforms to the spine on the inserts.

I have a question. I prefer to write on plain paper using a lined writing template under the page I'm writing on. If I use Rhodia paper, will I still be able to see the template underneath? Thanks

I'm not sure if you even still have this notebook or not, but I stumbled on your video while trying to decide if I wanted to get one for myself. The only thing stopping me is I'm not sure how the actual note portion is attached to the back page. Is it slid into a pocket or is it actually attached? I'm worried I'd take it apart one day just to show off the notebook and accidentally lose the insert lol.

Do not buy from Den because they are the worst company. They make awful paper for high price n they dnt get ur print right. They say refundable but it takes months to arrive even wen u pay 2 days shipping. U will regret buying from these guys. Worst experience. N l blame these people who support sich an awful company

Thanks for the review. My Goalbook from 2018 was just terrible. I bought it, because I made good experiences with a Rhodiarama notebook and its performance with fountain pens. And was strongly disappointed by the Goalbook - almost every fountain pen and ink combination feathered and bleeded through the paper. I even bought two Rhodiarama notebooks after that, and they were great. But I never bought a Goalbook again. Maybe I have to give it a new try. 🙂

I have first seen your (this video) x17 video about 5 weeks ago for I came across it while watching other travelers notebooks and I’m so glad I had for I’m in Australia 🇦🇺 and I have ordered a A5 with the 4 inlays and have been waiting for it to come from Germany through the post since about the 19th February and it’s probably taking time because of the covid thing and hopefully with my next order with them won’t take as long and I’m hoping my first order won’t take to much longer to arrive for I’m excited and really looking forward to getting it and from what I have seen on your video it is the exactly what I have been looking for and that’s also why I’m excited to finally comes and start using it 🥰 and Thankyou for your wonderful and awesome video and I’m also very glad and happy the company is still around and selling their products
