The audio is good, but I never saw one image of Australian WW1 soldiers, You talked about Gallipoli yet showed constant images of American troops and other countries soldiers and still yet no Aussies. You even showed an image from the American civil war. Your channel may grow but I suggest you use images from the era you are talking about or it just ends up looking silly.

I appreciate your tribute to us Aussies, But our Kiwi mates were there (one of the artillery batteries) and the Canadians were there with us, even the Americans have a tank company supporting, and the British had only just moved back (after fighting) to prepare new positions. I wish you and your family all the best.

It’s never a good idea to post that “you’ve” never heard of it. Of course I’ve heard of it. Many people have heard of it. More Victoria crosses were handed out on that day and half more than any other battle. It is taught in military academia and in British schools. Michael Caines first movie was based on that day.

Ophir is Mauritania which is the Atlantis in greek , which ocean was named after and the mounts Atlas in the north. the TOrah states that Ophir is reachable through the sea of Tarshish which is Cartagena or Tunis. it takes 3 years to go there in the Torah and in the book of Plato. continue to love your country ;)

Most of the French - were Men At Arms (on foot) - not Mounted Knights. The Knights were repulsed and then their Men Ar Arms attacked. The thing that made the most difference - was that the Battlefield narrowed as it approached the English Position. Because of that the French were gradually forced into tighter and tighter ranks until they had trouble raising their arms. The Battle is more accurately portrayed here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/e7GZh86fr9Wlfmw.html Note the way the Battlefield narrows. .

The main point, hardly mentioned, was that the long-bow had the power to fire an arrow thru armor. This was the irresistible advantage.
@beornthebear.8220Ай бұрын
2:45v shows Roman spears. Also, I saw.a test of English longbow arrows against French steel, and the English steel could not penetrate the French steel. It had rained a lot in England (as it frequently does, I've lived there). and the huge amount of French forced and their heavy armer got stuck in the mud. The English, much lighter without the armor, could easily walk across the bogs and slaughter the French. I had alway thought and read it was won by longbow, but the Military Channel showed a different sequence of events. The show tested the bow with the steels found from the event at that time, and the arrow tips could not have penetrated the French steel. While a really good shot could hit an armor weak point, check out ARROWS vs ARMOUR - Medieval Myth Busting. I'm not saying a direct shot wouldn't hurt; think of being shot while wearing a bullet-proof vest.

Poorly done. The Union troops poured into the crater rather than go around it and found themselves trapped. The First Nelson Light Artillery, armed with Coehorn mortars, fired shells into the crater all morning and did terrible damage. Other artillery and infantry added to the Union casualties. The Union troops performed poorly that day and paid the price.

It would be helpful to dispense with the misleading video background; show the specific weapons, armor, and gear that was used. What kind of bows, what armor did the turks have, and were their horses mares or stallions? It just sounds a fictional romance account that you are reading. Do some research and present a more professional account.

There is nothing similar about these two battles. Agincourt was a huge victory for one side - this video concedes that Crater Hill was a stalemate.

@AVMamfortasАй бұрын
Barker, Sumption and Rogers all wrote that the English probably had 6,000 men, these being 5,000 archers and 900-1,000 men-at-arms. These numbers are based on the Gesta Henrici Quinti and the chronicle of Jean Le Fèvre, the only two eyewitness accounts on the English camp. The French army probably consisted of 20,000 to 30,000 men. This suggests that the French could have outnumbered the English 5 to 1.

Even once the French knights managed to close with the English infantry, the lightly armoured and nimble archers were still able to make themselves useful, assisting the English men-at-arms by using bill-hooks to pull exhausted French knights off their feet before stabbing them through chinks in their armour with a long thin knife (called a misericorde).
