They are delaying the mine and making people poor.. once the mine is built people will have good life and more people will visit woodlark and it will give good job opps to locals. its a beautiful place but bad to see people very poor.
@markbetuels60282 ай бұрын
Yeah, but it's not only Woodlark Is, it's everywhere in MBP & as well as around PNG. And yes, the Community Leaders & the Government Leaders including all the Government Workers (P/S) we need to think big & critically in line with the available Natural Resources & come up with development strategies conducive to service development needs of the community/ies. Yes hope the mines comes on, but with good development packages. And the community leaders must be better than the Misima ones.

Woodlark Island should get a mine... this will help people get more money and better life.

Good to see someone in PNG harnessing the concept of green energy and in a small way contributing to the efforts of cutting down on green house gases; compounded by the unreliability of PPL, having a backup power system is a must need for homes. 3yrs on and was wondering if imprpvements have been made on your system. Some considerstions: 1. Use MC4 solar connectors. Consider installing inline fuses and combiner box for parallel connected panels. 2. Maximise available solar power by rearranging solar panels configurations by their Watts. Suggest do more reading or else get a professional to assist. 3. Upgrade solar charge controller (what is being referred to 'regulator') to MPPT from PWM. 4. Install rated fuses for DC supply from solar panel arrays and supply from the battery banks. Consider wiring the inveter 240VAC outlet into a MCB for added user protection. 5. Use correct rated wire gauges. 6. Couldn't see if the system was earthed? There were many hazards observed in the system including potential for fault/short circuiting which can all lead to serious injuries from electrocution.

I’m very sad to see how Wesley High School is not getting much help from the Government for financial assistance. I’m blessed to be a former student of Wesley High School, and all the great memories I had of my time as a student.

Yes such service organisations have not been sufficiently & consistently been supported by the Govt & not only for Wesley H/School but all in the Province & as well as through out the country & not only in Education but all others. It's a sad scenario for PNG as a country.

KZfaq is really difficult for small channels these days. Your content is interesting (I spent time in PNG in the past) to a niche audience perhaps, sound quality is probably the only negative, and difficult to get right, especially recording outside. You could look to team up with other PNG channels perhaps? Collaborate etc? Or for those academic institutions that are interested in recording your culture and customs etc, make it very educational and informative as most people know nothing at all about PNG and it's people.
@markbetuels60283 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comments & recommendation which is worth pursuing, especially in PNG.
