Miss that time so much. Dawn of Reagan. USA chants became the thing…and would stay until more malaise and cynical negativity arose again with a vengeance.

I saw this on cable in the 1980s and saved the audio. This is such a great song! I can't understand why they didn't put this on an album. Was it a live-only treat for fans? How stupid could they be to not promote this?!

It's insane how he did this without any autotune or anything else, just his natural singing voice! That's very rare in modern times.

A lot of reasons why this is so significant even today. You have to understand the political ramifications of this at the time. Remember, we didn’t go to Moscow that summer because of the boycott due to the Soviets (now Russians) invading Afghanistan the year before. Also, we will never see this again with College kids like this v Pros like the Soviets were at that time. The greatest moment in Sports history that stands the test of time even today.

This whole album played continuously for the entire summer at a marina on the York River in Virginia in 1962 when Ray went to #1 with 'I Cant Stop Loving You'. We kids dipped blue crabs by the bucket fulls and if a boat had a radio on board it was playing Ray. Steamed crabs and snooty girls who ignored us. Goood times for a 10 year old!
