@@runcycleskixc copper is the best base metal to plate silver on to but the copper will not plate well directly on to steel copper plates nicely on to nickel and nickel plates well on to steel this is why I use nickel Thanks

Chrome stripper

it's proprietary, his solution. i've used muriatic acid and have used caustic soda. but i must say his "chrome stripper" solution looks better. unless it's one of the two mentioned and at what ratio. depending what piece or pieces, i've just used a buffing machine with rubbing compound to remove the chrome layer edit: just read it's not an acid, so that disqualifies muriatic acid leaving caustic soda aka lye which is not an acid but an alkali
