Have a heran shorty muffler sounds awesome but incredibly loud so I ordered a M4 clone off ebay for $30 it's a glass pack like most but 13 inches long and it's surprisingly well constructed and sounds great a little bit quieter at idle ,very happy with it , chinese Companies will make whatever a company wants if you want crap they will make it ,if you want premium quality they'll make all depends how much your willing to pay.

The reverse challenge you are not alone. I noticed it shortly after I got mine. Usually try again to go in reverse does it for me, so ya no biggie. Checking your oil consistently is important, they are notorious for oil starvation. Manual says to check every fill up. I check before I take off anywhere.

I never understood the hate for these, where I’m from these are the most desired and well regarded over any other generation. I’ve had mine since 2017 and still daily drive it to this day and only issues I’ve ran into is a bad steering rack and a cracked radiator. Definitely the most reliable WRX I’ve had and I’ve owned quite a few

My old 99 5spd caviler rs coupe had issues going into reverse sometimes as well

i had a 2008 wrx for 2 years, i blown 3 engines and broke 3 gear boxes, i drove it pretty medium. they are money pits. rod knocks in all 3 engines

2006 Brazen Orange 6-speed owner here. Not the original owner, but I bought it practically new with 3000 miles on it. I've been saying since Covid I'd sell it (it sits most of the time since I have a '13 Viper GTS now), but I have a hard time parting with it. I love the sound and the way it drives. It was my daily for years and the car I learned how to drive manual on. Has 69k miles on it, still in great shape. No dents or serious paint damage. Suspension needs some freshening up though. Just has a spintech cat-back with h-pipe and 3.73 gears.

I bought a 2004 with the LS one and T5 66 speed and everything I’ve done to it. It has responded amazingly it’s 430 horse at the wheels so depending on how hard you launch it anywhere from 12 flat through the mid 12s with decent traction, and 28 miles a gallon cruising at 72 miles an hour on midgrade 89 octane with a tunnel ram ported dart heads and a fairly mild cam with 220° duration on the intake side. It’s very treatable and pull to 6700 RPMs, which is exactly what those bottom men Are rated at 6700 max even put a hitch on it. Pull a small trailer with dirt bikes and it has 167,000 miles and never touched the dropper oil. If you have one you know what I mean they are the best so comfortable to drive to.

To go into reverse every time is throw it into first then right into reverse. Made it a habit and works every time

I bought a gto a month ago and it’s looking like a mistake, 69k miles and my key won’t turn because the roller is stuck/broke, So far terrible car from experience.

We have installed the drivers window motor and regulator buy it works great up and down Intel we drive ot. Works for couple minutes then quits Can you tell me why it would work enginre running sitting but drive it it quits

I have a 2011 manual hatch and it's taken a couple money shifts now with no issues ( I did push in the clutch before it got dangerously high in revs tho )

The car looks great. I like the color. One interesting thing I noticed is that the seat covers you have are the Grand Am and Grand Prix upholstery style. Originally, your Lemans would have had rolled and pleated styled seat covers. Nothing wrong with that, since it's a bit of an upgrade, and you aren't all original anyway. Was there any particular reason you went with the GA/GP seat covers instead of re-doing the original rolled and pleated style?

For the transmission having trouble going in to reverse, it happens to me too. What I do is, while holding down the clutch, the instant I try to go into reverse and feel resistance, I’ll quickly put the gear stick in 5th and then 3rd then it goes into reverse smoothly. Something about hitting 5th and 3rd gear “lines” some things up in the transmission allowing it to slip into reverse. Give it a shot next time
