So a dayouth is a man who shows off his wife’s (or any female mahram’s) beauty in public. A woman who commits tabarruj is a woman who adorns herself in public with the intention to show off (this is different from simply trying to look tidy/put-together/respectable within modest bounds)

2:49 I think the brother meant Muslims, not kaffirs as mentioned with Abu lahb. As the prophet ﷺ said “the one who exposes his brothers sins will be exposed by Allah on the day of judgement, and the one who hides his brothers sins will have his sins hidden by Allah on the day of judgement” non Muslims, kaffirs and mushriks do not count, as they are obviously not Muslim, so to expose your fellow Muslim brother or sister in Islam is a grave sin.

@@rozekinsno not exactly. Islam also commands enjoining righteousness and forbidding evil, but in the case of where it is 1 or 2 fellow Muslims, the confrontation is to be done with them privately first. If that's not a possibility then you must speak up as it is a duty, to also prevent other Muslims looking up to the person's wrong actions. It's a different case however where a Muslim knows what they're doing is wrong and displaying it in front of others anyway, and Allah knows best.
