It is indeed! Though it might look slightly different compared to the live game right now - I *think* this was before they changed melanistic to be more black, as there were some complaints about the brown tints.

@@renem.4249 You have to be nested (spawning through spawn menu doesn't work) as any dragon with an iconic skin, then grow to adult without logging off!

It's an unfortunate rumor spread by some upset people & youtubers a long time ago, but no. Since the kickstarter they've been actively working on it, still are working on it and plan to continue working on it for years to come! It's a small team and progress is a bit slow (which upsets people), but if it was a scam, it'd be a horrible one considering all the money they're sinking into development ;p

Most people believe it's inspired by the skrill and, with many DoD fans also being HTTYD fans, it's one of the reasons they love this dragon! 😄

Hehe, it's an ampithere! A type of dragon with no legs and 2 wings - very different from the 'classic' dragon/wyvern indeed. Day of Dragons is including different dragon types, besides the standard four legged dragon and 2 legged wyvern.

it's actually the normal iconic skin - but early after the update, there was a bug that caused the wings to permanently look as if there's bright light shining behind them. Hence the pink membranes!

Good question! Day of Dragons an online open world survival game where you play as a dragon. Currently, there are 5 playable species, but there are many more to come. In a later update, you will also be able to play as an elemental (think big rock golem thingy), sworn enemies of dragons. There's pvp and pve - pvp kind of speaks for itself, there's clans and you fight other players, with more advanced features like clan territory to come in the future. Pve does not have much content currently (you can fight.. small bugs! :D) but will in future updates get more dangerous AI creatures as well as bosses with a loot system. The game also has a complex nesting system which is a big part of the game; you nest with other dragons to improve stats and craft fancy skins for the offspring (the latter coming in a later update), all based on a genetic system. As a result there's a pretty big social aspect. There's too much to explain in one comment! But long story short, they're working on an awesome game. It still has quite a way to go (early access) and it's good to know that the current game likely feels like it lacks content still. They're aiming for quality over speed, so if the current state of the game doesn't appeal to you yet, I definitely recommend checking back every now and then to see where it's at :) You can check out steam and their roadmap on trello to learn more about the game!

@@Legendary_Levite The devs (and community) are very passionate about there NOT being humans in the game! 🤣 Playing as a dragon is what makes it so unique - and you're right, the dragons are gorgeous. While they might not be releasing new dragons every 2 months, a ton of effort goes into the design, model, animations, sounds etc. They feel incredible to play as

It's referred to as "the ocean map" and it was just on the test server a couple times. I'm not sure if it's actually (planned to be) part of DoD, or if it was just for testing purposes

He slithers on the ground like a snake! And while I don't recall for certain, I believe he's meant to be a decent swimmer as well

That's because it is exactly that. Same with the Night Fury rip-off, the four-winged dragon (Stormcutter) rip-off, and if I remember correctly a Monstrous Nightmare rip-off as well. This game could have been a fan-made HTTYD game and been perfectly amazing, but nope. They went the lazy trace and re-color things road. *slow clap at DOD's stupidity*

@@TheEnvisFury ima be honest I wouldn’t mind seeing what they do with the rip off stormcutter as long as it isn’t just a slightly different stormcutter and the inferno ravager I think is fine? But if they added something interesting to spice it up like spitting out a flammable substance onto prey and being able to stack it up then hit them with fire to do extra dps would be very cool

@@TheEnvisFury tho u must admit they have the ability to make some interesting concepts like the acidspitter! The idea of having a dragon eater that’s flightless but has the ability to ground one is genuinely fascinating
