The iPad mini is the only iPad that I’ve continued or use after the honeymoon period wore off. I think you are on to something. Because, unlike larger iPads, the iPad mini doesn’t try to replace my laptop it is a lot less stressful to own. I reach for it generally only when I have a task (ebooks, manga, or watching video on the go generally) that aren’t suited to my MacBook Pro or iPhone. I primarily use mine as an ereader. I appreciate the flexibility compared to a dedicated e-ink device. PLEASE APPLE RELEASE THE IPAD MINI 7!!! My iPad mini 5 is working just fine so I can wait but I don’t want to 😅.

You should talk about the billing cycles for the Apple Card which are the OPPOSITE of other cards, so not what expect. When the statement says its due November 30th that 30th day is DAY 30, the LAST day to pay not the 1st day to pay. The statements are issued on the 1st, DUE on the 1st and the 1st is DAY 1 even though it says due Nov 30th. BE WARNED. Also, if you get this wrong Apple will not care. They will report you 30 days late and will do so over $7. So I would not get this card as all of your other cards work traditionally and its hard to remember this especially since the statements keep telling you its due on November 30th and thats just NOT true. PASS ON THIS CARD.

Basically if you’re someone who wants an iPad because you live on your phone for scrolling through socials and watching/streaming shows but want to do it on something bigger and not kill your iPhone then buy an iPad, it’s cheaper and it’s great for that.

The Mini 6 has been my primary device for the last 2 years. Paired with a 27inches 4K display and Apple Keyboard + magic trackpad for home + USB C mobile dock. When I am on the Go (often), I have a third party “Magic Keyboard” for the Mini 6: Magnetic, backlit, with trackpad. So mobile. I take it with me almost every day. Since I use this bizarre setup, I find that I am more focused on what I do, and not distracted on how I do it or with what tools I do it. The iPad Mini 6 brought simplicity and efficiency in my digital live. Keep in mind that I don’t make a living from this device but still. I use it a lot and my personal life (of which some aspects is actually making revenue) is managed with it. Too bad Apple doesn’t allow full external display support, this is the only weak point. It is one of the purest and most perfect and reliable device I ever owned.

we need better ipados since there is no reason to bring a more powerful chip inside an ipad if the actual software isn’t going to take advantage of it. I get it there are now pro video editing apps on the ipad but there could be so much more especially since they have the same computer chips as the mac.

One of all-time favorite Apple purchases! I used to teach at a private school, and the cafeteria was right next to my classroom. I’d use lunch period to fine tune my lesson plans and grade papers, but the unbearable cacophony of ravenous elementary students was quite the distraction! With my trusty AirPods Max, however, all it took was one, magical press of the noise cancellation button to transform the huge din into blissful silence! I absolutely love them and will keep using them daily for as long as possible!

It surprised on GPU difference because 15 inch air has 2 additional gpu cores but thanks for measuring the CPU performance for sustained load. That was amazing to know.

lol you think its so underpowered.....I have been using photoshop on this no problem. You can hack it up to OSX Monterey. Just replaced the battery, 2 tb ssd and a 1tb sd card with a flush tray. The best keyboard.

Dude, all I care about is KZfaq watching capabilities lol. And for some reason my M1 MacBook Air isn’t handling that very well lately. My 12 year old Dell I could tab it out like 80+ but on this I do more then maybe ten and I’m risking kernel panic or where the buffer wheel just spins indefinitely and I have to force a shutdown w power button. When it works though, it’s great. And I bought it brand new from Best Buy. Had every intention of buying a 16gb laptop op that day hut learned they only sold the base so had to go with that.

Just bought mine today, it’ll arrive at my house in 3-4 days!

I considered both of these options and instead went for an Apple refurbished MacBook Air 16gb/512gb. More than enough power, love the wedge. ❤

My issue with the Mac is that it's not good for running the mast majority of software without using an emulator or a buggy compatibility layer. Both are awful solutions. Comparability layers decrease performance by a lot, making the Mac studio a potato running x86 apps and it also isn't 100% compatible. It gets worse with an emulator, which has better compatibility but makes the m2 max run x86 very very sluggishly. The nail in the coffin is the price. For any usability with CAD (which requires 32gb ram minimum to run), you need to pay 3 thousand dollars, instead, you could get a core i9 minipc and overclock it, with a 4080 ti via the m.2 SSD port (which is 30% faster than a m2 max gpu) for about 1.5k, and then you get perfect compatibility and upgradability for the future. So, if it's not good for professionals who want software compatibility is it good for the consumer? No, the answer is no. You can get a good x86 sbc for about 400$ which will have a larger ram capacity(64gb), more ports and upgradability, and overall value compared to a Mac mini 8gb. Its just, not good for anything. Its BAD. I will never buy an apple because of their locked down ecosystem and poor value. So. We have eliminated Imacs, what else from the list of apple products to buy, what next. The iPhone. The iPhone further pushes a locked down ecosystem, not being able to run blender or any professional desktop apps or games. It again is too expensive for the average consumer, being 1000$ instead of 600$ for a pixel, which has better GPU performance(20% better) and an AI powered chip making software updates improve performance. It is not a win in the phone department either. Professionals dont want to use the iPhone because it can't run what they need it. Ok, how about the apple watch? Same thing. Can't run games or KZfaq or anything advanced. How about the keyboards, very expensive and terrible typing experience. How about the mouse? Unergonomic, and you can't use it when it's charging. How about the iPad? Windows tablets exist with better support and can run cad and blender. Oh like the design. Nothing phone exists. Literally no points where apple is worth the apple tax

I just bought an iPad $329 and loving it ! Yes, it’s not laminated and doesn’t support the Apple Pencil 2, but those don’t bother me. The A-14 chip is very fast ! What I don’t love is paying $600 for a tablet 😎👍
