That was good, but it didn't mention keeping the aimpoint from moving up or down in windscreen on final by changing the power setting. It should also warn about pulling the yoke back during the turns which increases the G-load on the wing and could reduce your airspeed below a safe speed. And, you should start the roundout when the runway appears to suddenly get wider.

When do you pull power to idle? During the round out?

Do a trick called Simulated Idle. With some power and some flaps and carb heat. We got 700 fpm level and more while turning C172 and Archer. . Our DPE accepted the 700 fpm. Use drop power to over idle not idle, carb heat and flaps for some drag. Air Cooled engines carbon up with long idles and lose cylinders too.

How did you calculate the wind correction? You don't mention the most important thing? First of all, how can I make x2 without knowing how many degrees of correction I need to give?
@hunterwjohnson17
@hunterwjohnson17 10 ай бұрын
Wind correction is based off of ground track versus heading. If you require a heading change of 10 degrees to maintain the desired track then 10 degrees is your correction. He talks about it at 1:10 👍
@1Mr.Legend1
@1Mr.Legend1 10 ай бұрын
real question I'm asking is how did you find the 10 degree correction? On what basis did you give the 10 degree correction? How did you calculate? That's what really matters.@@hunterwjohnson17
