I know this is an old video, but it appears you just tightened your wheels up against your old lugs, which is a huge safety concern. Your old lugs should NOT be sticking out beyond your spacer face.

I think the people suggesting additional jack stands weren't worried about the movement, but were worried about the locking mechanism, which I am as well. I have not seen how the locking mechanism works in any of these videos.

I ordered the full front kit from Summit Racing (Brake calipers, pads , rotors and brake lines ) it has been back ordered since April, but I’m curious if I will also need the Retaining Pin Kit since the calipers are brand new from Powerstop or will it come with it? I hate delivery date keeps getting pushed back! I want them!!

Spare tires are a thing of the past and most new cars don't come with them. They've been obsoleted by cell phones, AAA, and modern tire technology. I got rid of everything associated with it on my '96 and saved 37 pounds.

Why I have a problem with the acceleration with my Corvette 1989
@asymsolutions
@asymsolutions 9 күн бұрын
Um no? The corvette formula since the V8 upgrade of the C1 till the end of the C7 was simple. Light weight with good handling. Front engine Rear wheel drive V8 It was always on this path, the RX7 was really an attempt to compete against the 944 and later 944 Turbo by mazda's own words because that car (and the 928) was originally the successor to the 911. To think either copied each other is to ignore the history of each. They became similar because the goal in everything but the engine type was the same. Of course they would end up seeming similiar. The corvette was the american take on the lightweight european sports car, an the japanese take on that was the RX7. You don't have two people try to make the same thing and not come up with two things very similiar. That's not even getting into the C4vsFC similiarities which the C4 predates.

Good, they're not quality vehicles, I own a c4, they're always on the verge of overheating, the stupid optispark is behind the water pump, they're prone to rain leaks, and Chevy has bad air conditioning systems. Stay with Toyota always.

At the 4:30 mark, where does that foam piece that’s leaning on the radio bezel go? I took my rugs out and can’t figure out where that belongs. Don’t see a spot for it.

Thank you for going through the trouble of doing this test and showing it to us. I'm in the process of getting one. (the 5000 series). I have a 75 Trans Am and I like to tinker with it and check on things.😁 Anyhow, thank you for the rest of the video too. Question for you, If i wanted to leave the car up, at least enough with the locks on the 1st point and have the wheels off the floor for an EXTENDED amount of time, would that be a problem for the jacks. Primarily getting it back down again, come way later?......

So did you aim the headlights? That last thing is to make sure they are not to far to right/left or or up in the air or pointing towards the ground-if the whole headlight assembly had to come out of the car, then it’s definitely out of alignment compared to the factory headlight's also, the new versions that are HID in similar housings are basically plug and play except for one hot wire. They are expensive though they’re almost $1000.

Can you tell us what brand of panel you bought. Also You didn't mention the fit...was the spacing as good as the factory. Reason I 've asked because some of the other install videos I've watched did not leave me impressed with the accuracy of the way they fit.

Don't lay your wheels face down on bare concrete !!!! I made that mistake on Honda Accord wheels and it scratched the surface in areas. Now im trying to figure out how to repair the damage and not sure how to go about it.

The best thing to do is remove the intake, and then remove the sensor. Take the sensor to a hose shop, had to make A steel braided line, about 12 inches long. Screw that into the port on the back of the engine, then add the new sensor under the end of the braided hose. You can make a bracket and then bolt that to one of the fuel rail bolts, after you reinstall and torque down your intake. You will have to lengthen the harness for the plug that goes on the top of the sensor, but that is easy to do. This way you don’t have to fight this next time around. I think it was maybe $20 or so to have a custom line built to fit.

I did it all from the bottom on a 1990, have to reach up with a small ratchet and remove the bolts by feel. Really wasn't that hard except for a small 1 inch plastic duct pipe that would have required stripping a lot more of the dash apart to remove so in the end cut it with a Sawzall and taped it together, job done.
