It would be great if Jackson did something to make the foot-brace actually usable. Even without foam and without the plates my foot-brace in my gnarvana does not move without violently kicking it and the rope never pulls it back at all. To move back I have to disassemble the whole foot-brace contraption crawl in the boat head first and use both hands to move pins back. Pretty ridiculous.

Clay. Always the best instructional info. Kudos. ( Yes, I own 6 Jackson boats at the moment, with plans to purchase additional boats. )

As a beginner the right side looked better to me. Where is my mistake?

Interesting to see you talking to the camera instead of seeing you on the water, Clay! Of course, your hair colour has changed a bit since you were typing as Klay on RBP or when I met you while you were kayaking during Scott's memorial paddle or at the championships in Graz. Good to see you still active in whitewater kayaking! Wilko

I do the same thing, the only problem is you’re not getting full Velcro on Velcro which could cause connectivity problems when it comes to longevity with dirt and other things accumulating on there. The strip on the bigger piece of the pad should’ve been made wider so people can angle these to their comfort and still get that full Velcro to Velcro connection. Will the thigh hooks be sold separately when the Velcro gives out or does the whole kit need to be purchased again?

After a year of use, the velcro is holding strong. Maybe I'm more careful than most, but because I ''set it and forget it'' there doesn't seem to be any wear n tear on the velcro.. just the material and a bit of the trim. We will see how it goes in schools around the country soon - that's my worry area since they will be re-setting them much more often than personal boats. Thanks for the feedback! In my Rockstar V I've bent mine so much it's hanging off the velcro at the end, we will see how that holds up ... I'm paddling it most every day.

@@claywright9394 thanks for the response. Yeah I put mine in my antix 2.0 and did the same, set it and forget it. Hopefully it lasts a long time. I will say this, the hooks are a lot more aggressive and give you a better locked in feeling so I’m loving them

Great vid, it answered quite a few questions I had. Wish there were more videos l like this on crossover boats. Like the other guy said, trying to make a decision between a bunch of different brands but pretty set on either the Traverse or Katana.

I’m 5’6” about 170lbs. Would you recommend the 9 or 10 for me?

9' for day trips without much gear, 10' if you want to load it up. They may be harder to find now, we've trimmed our line down a lot lately.

Clay Wright, Thanks so much for the info! I actually found a site that has the 9 for a great deal, $799. I think that’ll end up working out great for what we do. Can’t wait to get it out on the water.

Great! Can you give me any advice for the seat? In the rockstar 2016 I had use a happy seat 200 and actually in the 4.0 I feel very low. I don't know if I have to get used to or use a happy seat 300.

Nice, video. I spinout a little faster after I quit paddling. My weight at 255 may have something to do with it. I really like the traverse for the stability and handling. I find time to spinout is 7 seconds with skeg down and costing with any kind of speed.

I'm looking at getting a crossover . Looking at several different brands. How comparable is this boat to the Dagger Katana ,Liquid Logic Remix XP 10 or Wave Sport Ethos. I'm a beginner to kayaking ,only canoed a little is a kid. Looking for cross training fitness from my cycling and just fun exploring on the water. Lakes ,rivers and light Rapids nothing crazy but capable if get into rough water by accident.

I tend to catch my undergarments in the zipper. If I go real slow and back it off everytime I catch, I am good, but with the tension by doing the sleeve pull, it pulls the open suit tight against the base layers which results in them catching. I ruined a couple of jerseys as a result.
