I just came across this video today. Thank you for your honesty and step-by-step approach. We have a mix of older/newer plumbing in our home and I've found that have a manual tool, like that hand crank auger you rented, helps to prevent any damage to older pipes by reducing any stress a more powerful one may put on old pipes. Also, a piece of cardboard makes an excellent "leak detector" with it's color contrast.

Not simple as your video suggestion. First, not everyone has the tool like you have. Second not everyone has the same piple installation like you have. Third, not everyone has issue like your kitchen sink clogged. Finally, for my issue, I must call the plumber anyway.

Great job brother I’m gonna try it on my wife’s suburban. I replaced the blow motor resistor thinking that would fix the issue. I still replaced it tho because the old one was really nasty.

Very good video! One thing to add is take the hood back and easily rest it against the windshield. It makes it easier if the hood prop is out of the way.

I’ve never heard of stressing soldered joints to failure. Rather than spend that much time opening multiple valves, I turn on the bathroom faucet to both hot and cold. Then I Let R Rip. Then turn off the water after air is cleared. But what do I know?

…I used two plungers to unclogged my kitchen sink. A sink plunger and a toilet plunger. Sink plunger to stop outflow of one side and gently plunging the non-eurator side with the toilet plunger. It worked for now 🙋🏾‍♀️💅🏾

I have the same situation with the plugging of both drains, but my plumbing does not look like that. I have the huge trap on the regular kitchen sink side but I do not have a horizontal pipe connecting to my garbage disposal. Basically, my set up is split From the wall. I always kind of knew there was some thing arising, because when I would garbage disposals a full sink full of water, it would rise up on the other side with this disgusting crud water.

He rented it at Home Depot. Home depot sells used rental tools when it is time to replace the equipment. Most tools get sold around 30 months of rental lifetime in their possession. In those 30 months, the rental lifetime for the snakes is about 100 rentals and they are kept in good condition. The price is about 45-55% from new. The rental tools are sold because they replace the equipment on a regular basis not because they have been rented too much. I worked at Home Depot renting and repairing them.

Anybody can help Me out ? So I pulled out the middle piece and the pipe that’s connect to the back wall had a lot of gunk in it so I removed most of it with a broken hanger but only what I could reach, but after assembling back it only worked for a second lol. Should I snake that back piece even more ?

I have the EXACT same car, same color too! I just did this to the car and I replaced everything, even all the ball joints about two weeks ago. I did driver side first and there was a learning curve, a lot of cussing, straining sounds, grunts, etc. Then I did the other side in about an hour! It’s amazing what you can do when you know what to do!

Nice vid, you guys seem like great guys. However, With all due respect, other than fluid and a belt, all you did is remove the knuckle and somebody else did all the rest of the work displayed in the title/thumbnail. Would have liked to see a little more of that stuff.

My bathroom sink. For some reason I it only goes 3-4ft in after taking off the P-Trap. It uncloggs it but it seems I do this once a year. Spent $60 on a Rigid manual/drill snake. I live on the 2nd floor apartment/condo type. I thought I could run the snake deeper than 3-4ft. Is that normal?

My clog happened on Christmas day 2022 and where it was clogged was under the cement basement floor lucky i have a 50' snake to go down the pipe as the clean out for the pipe was 3" from the floor and when i pulled out the snake out of the pipe the snake was coved in black sludge here's a tip but the drain plugs in the sink so when you unscrew the P-Trap you only have to deal with the water in the pipes and if you have a SHOP VAC suck the water out of the sink and pipe before you unscrew the P-Trap

Once the you think the drain is cleared , I like to fill the sinks up with hot water. Once the sinks are full, pull the plug and check the speed the water drains. If the drain is truly cleared you will see a small whirlpool form and hear a sucking noise very close to the end of the emptying

Once a month, put the temperature of your hot water heater up to the highest setting. Wait 30 minutes. Turn the hot water on only, on full and let run for 5 full minutes. Afterwards, turn the hot water setting back down to the lower former desired setting.
