Great video and please everyone, use ear protection around motor sports or things like concerts. That event isn’t worth fucking up your hearing indefinitely

I respect your interest in Burts story, but you are factually wrong about a lot of things. Please read the books that are available about his life. 😅

Aerodynamics and weight matter. It's a simple fact. Regardless of the calendar. What I see on the roads today is an insult to humanity. In my view.

I am using crutches after injuring myself on a motorcycle. I know. I will tell people how to ride a motorcycle. Hahaha. I love the irony of your intro... In seriousness, though, thank you for the content, and I wish you a speedy recovery.

Love this guy and the effort he takes to provide clear explanations. And, also do that in English! He clearly explains what we are trying to achieve, the problem(s) involved and then the solutions. The only thing that I am not clear about is if he is familiar or not with the work of Keith Code.

Look Far and still see what is Close. But you Can't look Close and still see Far... Our horz visual scope is roughly 200 degrees and our vert about 135 degrees. We can detect movement but not much else. But within that visual cone is another much more narrow visual cone about 2-3 degrees. That is where our higher level visual functioning resides. It is short circuited to that part of our wetware, brain. It is tied into our motor functions, balance etc. It is the part were we have higher visual reasoning which allows us to read for example. It is also that part of our visual view that we use to Look where we Want to Go!

I went to Bonneville in 2006 after they completed filming of the movie, and found out they shot it at the other end of the raceway, as they were doing actual speed runs from the proper start of the course (the other direction), so all the props, start line, movie set, cast/crew were about 11 miles away from the real speed runs happening. He was still being talked about and the making of the movie was hot talk the whole time I was there. Tenacious old bugger... we'll never see his like again. And Sir Anthony Hopkins did a fantastic job of playing him in the movie.
