I don't understand what's going on in BG. I dressed the character completely in pvp, even some of the things are for 30+ thousand honor, but there is no damage, titanic mutilate hits 200, while shadowbolt hits me at 1500, what am I missing?

Great guide! Only thing I'm missing is that even if we do all this, we will still get obliterated in pvp. I recently learned about gear enchants but I don't really know where to start except for the weapon enchant which may give for example 120 spirit

Oh that’s an easy fix, don’t play PvP! 😆 but for real, unless they create a whole separate sandbox for PvP, sort of like what FFXIV did, it will always feel “Play X or lose”. I’m not a PvPer tho, so I’ll stop there. Yes, the High Risk weapon enchants are very powerful, so much so that sometimes you run 2x 1 hander weapons just to run the purple and blue versions or 2x different purples. The rest are just w/e stats your build calls for

I'm still kinda new but it looks like high risk is a core reason to get pvp gear. Also pvp BG is quite fun even though I do silly stuff like cryotherapy

Is there any high risk stuff for fishing / cooking? I checked the db, and cooking is fine, but couldn't find any fish recipes. Is fishing dead for the endgame?

Yeah most of the cooking materials are from killing beasts and doing the HR events/nests. The HR cooking recipes still need some basic components though, and sometimes that may include fish, but I don’t think it’s that many. TBC may be more, but would have to check. There’s plenty of callboard daily quests that require fish though, so wouldn’t say it’s dead/useless.

Hi there. Ur videoes were the first thing i saw when i started playing ascension and they were very good.i liked the game but the loop to farming reroll scrolls is kinda a huge waste of time. Kinda stopped me from playing more. I wished more people were playing on area 52.

These are the gameplay loop basics of Ascension's seasonal server. Level, farm marks, scrolls and cards, perfect that build, or go again with prestige or another specialization. Hope this gives you all a basic direction after that final ding! Tips from the comments: - Always invite to party so all players get progress. It wasn’t obvious in the video, but both me and the other player were getting credit when I won.

I'm hoping someone can answer my little questions lol. I played WoW on an off for 12 years, lost interest in the 'retail' a while back and was playing classic. I haven't played for about 18 months now as I don't want to pay a sub for an 'old' game. Anyway, my play style was always casual and pretty much solo. I'm not anti-social, I just level realllly slowly and kinda do my own thing. I wanted to know how casual friendly this Project Ascension is? Is it a game I can play solo? Is the questing any good? Is there crafting? Can I just go crazy and create a character pulling all my favourite bits from the different classes I've played? Basically, I want to have the WoW experience I loved with, the questing, the crafting, the exploring etc. but with the freedom to create a character that was unique. I never really got into raiding, did a few dungeons here and there and a bit of PvP but I was mostly into the levelling, crafting and exploration (I know I sound boring lol). Is the way I play WoW suitable for Project Ascension or it is more for the 'hardcore' players?

As mostly a solo player myself, I've been able to find some guilds that allow me to join their weekly raids as I want, while I do my crafting and building. You can definitely enjoy the game as a solo. The questing is about the same as normal WoW with some added quests for world-forged mystic enchants (on Area 52) and some of those still exist for skill cards on the seasonal server. Also, there's daily profession quests to keep your crafting relevant. Other players will pay good money for the items to do their dailies.

what is the difference between regular and golden skill cards? How do they even work? You kinda skipped over that in the new player guide

Golden is just another slot, but they are acquired by filling up the progress bar at the top of the pack opening window or buying with gold at Silas. There’s actually a section in the video all about skill cards and time stamped in that video’s description. They force the game to give you an ability the next time you roll and meet the level requirement. Only thing that has changed since chapter 2 is that you can slot a card at any time, even level 60, allowing you to keep your options open or activate cards you get after leveling. Hope that all helps.

I have a few questions that I can’t find answers for . After I card something and then get it , is there anyway for me to reset the cards that I’ve picked, also what is the easiest way to get scrolls of fortune ?

You can reset your build, which includes the card slots, with the Prestige feature by talking to Chromie next to a call board in any capital city. The easiest and main way of getting scrolls and cards is doing the callboard dailies and turning in marks of ascension at Silas. After that, Manastorm farming is what most people do, but you also get more from raiding and mythic plus dungeons.

I will say another good strategy for getting upgrade rolls once your getting further into completeing your build. When you have your like 5-6 talents left your rolling for and upgrades. Keeping everything 2/2 3/3 and rolling the stuff thats 1/2 , 1/3 etc. it prevents you getting upgrade rolls on shitty talents you dont want. I get massive synergy upgrade rolls doing this when im nearing the end of a build. Also to force more synergy talent rolls in your favor. Try to take as many useless resurrection stype abilities that have no pool attached to them as your rollinn your talents. I do this to even further force synergy in our favor. Once i get more of what i want from talents ill go for outlier abilities that wpuldve caused synergy talent rolls to go out the window. Basically any class abilities that are needed but gonna really open up your synergy pool you want to save till the end and card in. That way you get the longest time possible getting juicy synergy.

Yeah I got some flack elsewhere about not specifically telling people to keep capped X/X talents even if they're bad for that reason, but that's kind of what I mean by focusing on the "outliers" where you get rid of all those talents that are going to soak or "waste" your synergy or upgrade rolls, and at least it lands on something you want or usable. Due to RNG, it's all 20/20 hindsight. I agree with the ability rolling strategy, but thought that was a bit much to ask a new player to research or balance and really isn't necessary or viable unless your skill card situation requires/enables you to do it. Good advice for min/maxxing an approach to a later build though. Thanks for sharing!

The econ of Ascension is a bunch of raiding Chads who refuse to farm. Just be a farm bot, when you're tired of farming, join manastorm 1, get as far as you can, vend and sell, repeat. Made 800G in less than 7 hours.

That's why I recommend the callboard focus farming, as I think if I farmed that for 7 hours, I'd make way more than 800g. Just the examples I used in the video, like the firefins and green logs, I can get anywhere from 300-500g an hour. Results vary depending on the quest item, but it's very chill and easy to do while you're queuing or forming groups for things. What I do like about manastorm farming is the spread of loot, like all the different cloth, and I just hoard it until it pops on the callboard. Not to mention your getting potential things to improve your build.

Recently just started playing. These have been helpful to try and understand everything. I would love to see some videos on Mystic Enchants, Professions, the various activities that are specific to Project Ascension (i.e. manastorm, etc...), and how best to level as the quests don't grey out so you know you need to move to a new level.

If there's one thing I like about this game is the whole prestige mechanic... farming bgs (even though it can be frustrating) makes the level grind feel not so bad. I kinda wish the bg caches would drop more stuff like manastorms and be a bit more lucrative but bg leveling still feels the best... great video brother

Maybe it was because we leveled slower in BGs before and now we leave to requeue before one ends, but those BG caches used to be pretty decent for vendor value. Combined with the "power creep" of the MS caches probably contributes to this.

I'll go ahead and start off the "things that HVLN forgot and are really good ways to save money"-list: - If you want to prestige and use XP potions, go to your account on the website and complete the account security steps. They will give you the "LP" currency. Then, go to the store, look on top right for "LP items", and you can buy soulbound XP potions. This is the best way to spend LP, in my opinion.

I understand that this season is random on what you can get but finding baseline builds on youtube or google will usually wind up with old and possibly outdated setups. So as new players where do you go to find build templates to help navigate the jungle of randomness to know what abilities and passives synergize?

I eventually will get into build videos, but the best source is just playing with other people, looking at the DPS meter breakdowns and talking to them. But if you're trying to cook yourself, I spend some time in the Ascension database on their website. You can also look at the older builds from previous seasons, as the synergies with the premade LREs can still be relevant.

Hey. Great information even for a "oldie" without much time on the hands. I have been hunting for certain talents to (frozen chaos and three others) if anyone knows whats needed for frozen chaos, I would be ultra happy. I'm using corrupted maelstrom with felcleave n felblade abilities, have ice lance, frostbolt and cone of cold. Haven't seen this in a little bit over 2M marks. Have I messed something up so it's blocked? On other builds I feel like it pops up fairly often. Thanks for the video m8

By "block" it pretty much just means don't get stuff that's outside what you want. As long as you have something that synergizes with it, you will be able to roll it. Sounds like you have plenty of things that will synergize with frozen chaos, probably just good ol' RNG.

Mostly, but I have a couple guilds that I've made friends in and raid with when I can. Depends on IRL schedule mostly. There's a good number of guilds that are welcoming to newer players or don't require the most broken specs.
