I remember going through my divorce when this game came out. It was one of the things that make me stay with my feet on the ground. Really hard times. All that struggle trying to save Yuul was very personal to me.

Never played 13-2 and didn’t finish 13, but the music from these games always bring a calm nostalgia since they represent the “brief respites” (see what I did there?) of the craziness that was my college years 😌

Can´t believe it´s been 11 years as of now since this has been posted. FF13 and 13-2 will forever have a special place in my heart. Warning to people coming here though - you WIll get down the rabbit hole of listening to the whole soundtrack. You might want to play them again and you WILL feel nostalgic, maybe, like me, even a bit sad. But remember - you´re here now and are able to listen to everything again. The memories were made. You might won´t be able to bring that time back, but you got your memories. And that´s something beautiful and sad at the same time 💜 Deep stuff over now. I´m glad most of the soundtracks still exist on here. Thank you for posting this MrPwn347! 11 years too late to thank you, but hey, better late than never ^^

When I was in Japanese language class I believe they had a word that describes what you said. Mono no Aware-物の哀れ-and I quote "A Japanese idiom for the awareness of impermanence or transience of things, and both a transient gentle sadness (or wistfulness) at their passing as well as a longer, deeper gentle sadness about this state being the reality of life." Or "The bitter sweetness of a brief, fading moment of transcendent beauty." Deep stuff.

Beautifully said, my man. Couldn't have done it better. I remember watching the gamemovie of 13 and was so entranced by the characters and music that I had to buy 13-2 and play it myself. Such wonderful memories and vibes. Never gonna forget these feelings.

To reestablish something is to bring back something that is no longer there. A deep sense of longing is exactly what it sounds like, and a heart in this context is figurative. Although Lightning was serious, Serah is just cool, the type that would go around. FFXIII-2 is a masterpiece, a work of art. Any gamer will be amazed by its gameplay, astonished even to finish it.

This song is so sad. And that's a good thing? It reminds me of Studio Ghibli music too. And it's all awful as someone with MDD, but so good. I get to feel sad because of the music, because of the moments. This sadness is mine, not my minds. Sad because I'm sad, not sad because of something I can't control.

Love this song and brings me some nostalgia i played the FF13-2 at end of my teenage phase, now as 30yo this game and their music has a special place in my heart.

Yea, the FF13 trilogy is not even that good, but somehow I'm very fond of it, like I miss it so much even though I was playing other games more challenging and fun, but I just liked the experience, songs, places and shit. At the time it was awesome.
