All things considered man, Vince really wasn’t that bad. I’m a huge Brent guy. Got at least 15+ tapes from every year Brent had the seat. No doubting he was the man. But I’ve had a recent calling to reach further into the Vince era. I’ve heard the “last great” shows people so call claim and hear their praise with an agreeable attitude. I found that even on their harder shows to listen to, Vince still chimes away having the time of his life. That’s what I respect about him. And I’m sure the band deep down knew he was just there having the time of his life. And the band didn’t go down without a fight either. Played till the big man knew he time had come. Even in ‘95 they broke out new songs and Jerry released the Wand in Seattle. That all would’ve never happened with Vince. Hats off to the man and god I hope he’s resting at ease. That depression shit hits hard. Always check in on your loved ones, and never really judge the person. You never know where they are in life when you see ‘em. Great Show. 🤘🏼

It’s crazy the amount of amazing, if not legendary, concerts that took place in such a terrible dark damp dump.

It was special. I felt like I nearly drowned when the rain started. As some folks fled, we got their tickets and moved forward one section at a time till we were up front…ended up with a bunch of washed out tickets. A special night.

Fucking stellar show. So goddamned cold. If I remember correctly, Bob was under doctor's orders not to sing and you can really hear why - but it actually sounds freaking great. Went around highway roadblocks in the blizzard to get to Tempe. Econoline, 7 hippies, and 3 nitrous tanks gave us enough traction to get everywhere we needed.

Thanks for this! I was there. Rode up from Santa Cruz in a Vanagon with some fine people. Hiked up from the parking lot to the bowl both days. Skinny dipped in a mountain lake on the way. Wind was bad second day but the atmosphere was amazing. Hung out with a beautiful Labrador Retriever named Cassidy. Drove back to Santa Cruz and I went to my first day of college Monday morning still tripping a bit. Some of the best times of my life.

this era makes me feel so inspired, because regardless of aLL the adversity and pain this band might have been feeling, they stiLL found their way to crank through and play for the sheer fulfiLLment of the music. That's joy, right there, playing as if nothing else matters in this world beside unity and progress. It's beautiful...

I was into hard rock then. I went to 616 that night to see Tesla. I drove right by the Pyramid and saw these weird tie dyed people with tall hats. I wish I'd have ditched the truck and the chick and bought me a ticket to see the music that I now love and appreciate. Hey Now !!!!

Well In will be 891 this August and hearing the dead playing Shore line brings back many memories. All the back to the days of Ha8ight Asbury when Jerry and the boys were jamming in flat on Haight , just a group jamming, As well, the days of the electric cool aid acid test along with Ken . This comes from a deticated dead head.

John de Foncesca is just incredible on drums. This band was one of his best. Young kid Ozzie on the big stage rips it up, why they parted is a story id like to hear. This here is some powerful s*^t, 90 mile an hour fastballs, one after the other, straight down the plate. Straight heat all night long
