Dont take it the wrong way but it sounds like shit. As a guitarist and total fan of Gibson and Epis it sounds??? Weak. As a bassist? Total fan of Fender and Squier and EBMM and SBMM Stingrays. Definatly the Stinrays for the double humbucker pickups. The Fenders and Squiers four the splitcoil humbuckers on PJs and single pickups on the bridge. This bass you are playing just looks like something a woman would play. Not to be sexist but a lot of women and girls play bass but i dint care for the Beatles or dung bugs. Never got the whole british invasion thing though. But now Motorhead, Iron Maideb, Judas Priest and others that werent as whimpy as Elvis and The Dungbugs or Beatles. OK.

Picked one of these up and it’s great out of the box but after some wearing in, this thing goes out of tune SO fast. Forget trying to play in drop D or C without it losing half a step a minute in. I’ll be restringing with flats and popping the frets out next.

Interesting how in this period they moved the pickup a bit down, making it sound a bit more like a P-Bass. It still has some extra fatness - not all the way down at the P-Bass position - but it sounds like a close relative rather than something totally different.

These are not the original USA peaveys. They were lower priced in the 80's, and most never knew how good they were. Now the USA models from the mid era are pricey as hell.
