Dang, water has been looking good so I hate to hear that info you shared in your description. Those you got were really nice Red River bass! I was hoping to go next week when it’s a little cooler and fish some deeper riprap jetties and walls. I really enjoyed the video!

Thank You! That might be the best luck I've had on the river out of probably 15 trips. I went out yesterday and caught around 10 but only had two that went over twelve inches. The weather is looking good next week!

Where did you find that much open water on that lake? There is so many hidden stumps and other debris just under the surface there that I run my boat at a slow crawl, even on the marked trails. Got one of worst hits ever on the lower unit of my motor in one of the trails, fortunately, I was going slow enough that it didn’t break anything. Now (August 2024) the only water in the lake is in the creek channels that run through it, and I often see people fishing in those channels. They are supposed to do some “improvements” on the lake then bring the pool back up in 5 years or so. Great video though.
@bass-o-cologist8275Күн бұрын
Thank You! I believe the open water you're referring to is the big pocket on the far southeastern side of the lake (Pierce Creek). The lily pads grow back in there. The boat lanes are treacherous! The only lane I would run was on the main lake, south of the mouth of Adams Lake to just past Greens Lake. Somewhere past Greens Lake you come to a T and from there I would start idling because of the stumps in the boat lane. I'm looking forward to seeing it after the work is complete.
@SteveD32823 сағат бұрын
@bass-o-cologist8275 Ah, okay. Pierce Creek is where I had the hard strike on my motor. I've never turned east off the launch ramp there though. I could walk probably walk out there to the east now and for the next 5 years. Thanks.

The lake is 75 years old and their wanting to rebuild the dam, allow property owners to work on docks/walls and clean up all the debris on the bottom of the lake. I think the game and fish commission plan on putting in more boat ramps and opening up the boat lanes better.

Great bass fishing in all the beautiful Cyprus trees. Jig n pig was a great bait back then. Dont live in an area now with much lake access.
