I ask because i see screws to the piece you attached to the wall and it looks square. Is it one item? The part you listed that on Amazon is just a round 6 inch circle no screw holes. Please help with this part. I hope i make since lol

I want to air condition my basement with a portable AC.. My old house has a balloon frame..Can I shove the exhaust vent up behind the wall in the basement and let it exhaust all the way to the attic?

Great idea and video. However, there is a flaw in the idea. A portable AC is just that. Portable and temporary. It takes conditioned air from the house and vents it outside. That is a problem if the portable AC is used 24-7 when it's hot outside. Here's why: I don't have the exact specs but let's say that the discharge air is around 100 CFM (cubic ft per minute). A 1,000 sq ft home is around 8,000 cubic ft. In approximately 80 minutes of run time (8,000 divided by 100), the portable AC will have expelled all of the conditioned air in the house. Now, the house will be drawing in the hot, unconditioned air from the outside through any void, crack, door, flue pipe, chimney or any other means available. This is a lot more air than just normal infiltration. Therefore, the main AC for the house, and this portable Ac, has to work harder to get the job done. A clothes dryer does the same thing but it's not expelling air all day long and the clothes dryer moves a lower CFM of air than a portable AC does. Just thought I would share what some might think is useless information.

Recently I got an Ugly Stik Carbon Inshore, 7' medium action fast tip. It's sweet. The sensitivity blows my GX2's out of the water, it's way lighter and casts farther. It's probably not as good for live bait but for jigs and stuff that I usually use it's perfect. I don't love the baby blue color but it's okay. Now I want a graphite rod for my baitcaster. One of those red ones might be a good choice.

Do you know if any of these come in 5 inch??

Thank you for sharing. I guess by making a hole in the wall its a more permanent install. Your approach is also a good option if you want to place the AC on the side of room that does not have a window.

My primary spinning setup is a Daiwa combo. However, I also carry a Shimano Sedona on the ugly stik lite pro. Like you, I am very satisfied with this rod.

I appreciate you sharing your experience. My vent is here. A/C to arrive Tues. You used a 6" hole saw, but the vent w/plastic that holds 6" pipe is 6.25 or 159mm. Did yours fit in the 6" hole?? The vendor (Intulon) has a different model than on your wall; I don't even see screw holes. Finally, a number of people have stated it won't accommodate 5.9" A/C hoses. My LG units are coming, and their spec is 5.9". If you do an update, skip to 4:45, and the applause can start way before the end. However, your video is much appreciated.
