based on how you turn while drifting im thinking you're using handbrake. for a car like the ae86 tuned, it's better to not rely on the handbrake to drift, it's better to do something like an inertia drift or just a braking drift. i say this with a lot of experience with the car, very fun to drive and teaches you how to balance cars. try cornering wider. though as the other comment said, try gripping more, it will really give you a gist of how the car handles in any situation. as for shifting, you should build confidence, because when you do, you can shift even from fifth gear to 2nd gear smoothly right before entering a corner, which you weren't able to do in one of the last turns. EXTRA: in the right turn before the 5 consecutive hairpins, enter wide and dont brake. if you will then just tap it. keep learning, you'll get better!

try to carry more speed into the corners and dont drift, you should try gripping with the car first so to learn more of the basics. Also be more confident on the pedals and you should be fine. (You can also watch the controller driving video i made so)
