It's approaching the two year anniversary of my husband Robert Gillespie's death. He left this earth on June 17 2022. He was full of life and every day was exciting being with him. I miss him so much it feels like he's been gone for 100 years not two. Mike said the most profound thing to me the last time I saw him. He and Robert had been friends since Jr highschool so it meant the world to me. He said " Robert was like a shooting star." Thank you Mike, you were right.

I met Jim in Walla Walla when he was with the Viceroys. We were a jr HS rock band The Satellites. They came to listen to us when they were heading back to Seattle after their gig at the recommendation of Al Lentz the booking agent. Good guys. They gave us encouragement to keep at it. Jim, I'm still playing at 73 years old. Fond memories.

Just saw the Post Modern Jukebox version, and your comment. While they had a good and fun arrangement, I immensely prefer your rendition. I was an '80s teen, and this was one of my all-time favorite songs. I doubt anyone could listen to this and not want to dance their rears off!

I was wondering what you were going to do for the harmonica bridge . . . Nice solution -- better than the harmonica.

Phil Volk left the Raiders in 1967, and has spent the rest of his life playing up the fact that he was a Raider for 2 years. Should have stayed with the group, but he and Drake and Smitty thought they were gonna be stars with their own band. Harpo at least had a successful career doing children's music.

Mr. Skill is obviously extremely talented . . . but I still prefer Rich Cole's bass line recorded in the original studio version. That said, I've never fallen out of love with What I Like About You.

That shows talent that they can sound like this after all these years. Speed was excellent and instruments were all in tune. Voices were … well, pretty damn good, no matter what their age. A real treat, thanks.

PR & The Raiders was definitely one of my favorite bands. I had started with the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.

Always credit Marinos for his lyrics, he did all the lyrics, I came up with the music. This recording was my own recording playing all guitars, bass and vocals for the 41st Anniversary. There is 2 photos of Marinos in this video.

I remember going to see The Romantics out at The Country Club in San Fernando Valley, and The Roxy and Pantages in Hollywood in the 80"s. Good old days. I used to sneak in my 35mm camera and get photos of them during their concerts. I always wondered why Mike Skill left the band, then Rich Cole left and then Jimmy Marinos. Either way, I'm still rocking to the Romantics to this day. How about a new Romantics album Mike. Peace, Sal
