Seemed like a plausible hack, but I bought one last year, set my pwd and just went back to unlock it and couldn't with my password. I tried your hack, didn't work as some of the rows are easy to turn no matter what letter they are on and some rows were difficult to turn no matter which letter they were on. So I can't get into the storage shed. Bolt cutters are next, if that doesn't work, I'll call a lock smith. NEVER buying one of these again that's for sure - as ever I can't get into it WITH the pwd.

Just encountered this fussy lock. Owner said she put it on the shed 8 years ago and hasn't touched it. Definitely rusted. Didnt even have any play. Ill be attempting this.

i just bought it...for my Mexico trip. It doesn't feel safe, but at least I feel a bit safe when I go on to swim and no one is watching my stuff. Of course, do not leave your passport and a lot of money in this plastic box.

if you scuff up your acrylics just pick up some trpoli buffing/polishing compound and throw it on the bench grinder or dremel/drill and a buffing wheel and you'll be back to new in no time at all.

The reaction to the Winkhaus one got me bursting out laughing. I know of several buildings that use the type of key shown. They are only changed when keys are lost. The locks and keys are able to withstand a massive amount of use without failing. Breaking into a reasonably secured house in Germany usually means breaking a window frame with a crowbar. The door is usually left for locksmiths and firefighters to deal with, once you have locked it at least one time and can't get around the trap.

Oh. It's a Key Safe. I went to visit a disabled woman in my area. She gave me the code. However, I was expecting the front door to buzz open. Hence, why I didn't gain access to the property. "You are the only one that couldn't do it". Ha.

5:14 So if im right after picking every key pin you rotate each pin one at a time, if there's a bunch of drag (friction) when rotating the pin you stop and rotate it in the opposite direction which should feel silky smooth when rotating?

i wish I’d found this video before I made the key for mine, but I used a 5/16 drill bit I didn’t have any round stock of any kind, I did use a wooden dowel to find the correct bit spacing tho and marked the drill bit on each section and just filed till I found the correct angles and it opened lol

The 64ti/30 and below is something i would just rake right off the bet. I own two of them and they rake open pretty well. The 65/30 is a different animal altogether. It has spools inside, so you can't get away just by raking it. If you get a false set from raking you need to pick the pins one by one. I own the bigger 40 mm wide one and I got so unlucky with the bitting that the 5th pin requires a max lift next to a very low cut 4th pin. I'm also using TOK with .15thou round hooks. Horrible
