In Australia, the Good Samaritan Doctrine protects ordinary civilians from legal troubles if they attempt to assist a person undergoing cardiac arrest: aedauthority.com.au/your-hands-can-save-a-life/#:~:text=Can%20I%20get%20in%20trouble,learn%20how%20to%20do%20CPR There is also Good Samaritan Law protection in the USA - you can read more here and how it varies from state to state: www.uscpronline.com/blog/can-you-get-in-trouble-for-performing-cpr

what makes me scared is the thought of pushing too hard and braking any bones. How much pressure can the chest withstand? if i push 1/3rd of the chests diameter wont cause any bones to brake?

Hi Tina, Thank you for watching our video and for your question. Ribs can break during CPR but do heal, restarting the patient's heart is vitally important.

Hello Andreas, Thank you for watching our video. CPR should be continued until the person becomes responsive or normal breathing returns. You can also stop CPR once the paramedics arrive and advise they will take over. If you are becoming tired performing CPR, instruct a bystander to provide support if available. We hope this helps.

I have multiple auto immune diseases that began with vitiligo and then fibromyalgia, Sjogren’s syndrome, the gene for ankylosing spondylosis, hypothyroid, possibly lupus which blood work due by rheumatogist last week. About 9-11 months ago, I suffered from a renal infarction. Multiple doctors ( cardiologists, kidney specialists, and rheumatology) can not identify why or how this occurred. My question is, is it possible I might have to be tested for this condition?

Our Singapore Heart Foundation recommends to shave the patients chest if there are hairs as it prevents cardiac detection process. Do you agree since time is precious and perhaps it would be better render the electric shock first and then do the shaving if necessary when cardiac analysis detection is not sound.

Thank you! Was just diagnosed partially until I have the rest of the scans done. But two ct scans show the beading in my brain. I have tried not to worry but am concerned about having an aneurysm or heart attack. FYI people: I have had mysterious pains in three spots, over the last 3 years and nobody could see any issues until Sunday. I thought I was stroking out. So the emergency room is who did imaging of my head. That is how they saw the beading. Still worried. But this video has calmed me down some. Thank you!!

I have Fibromuscular Dysplasia in my Renal, Internal Carotids, and Iliac Arteries. I have had sudden onset, very high blood pressure since my late 30s, which could never be attributed to anything in particular. Five years ago, I had a SCAD, AMI, and a Cardiac Arrest. I was revived, and had a Balloon Angioplasty, and several days of IV Heparin. I now have damage to my heart, and early stage heart failure. In the hospital, I had testing, which found FMD in my Renal and Internal Carotid Arteries, and Iliac Arteries. This explains the hypertension issue, which is resistant. I have a brain aneurysm, and a dissection in my Iliac Artery, currently. Unfortunately for me, it is the gift that keeps giving.
