Sorry, angle grinders are dangerous tools and modifying the discs is a dangerous practice. Yes, 9/10 people with get away with it. The tenth will get a shard to the face. Nope. Being clever for KZfaq doesn't justify this. (45 years of experience with metal work and angle grinders)

The title should be "some great ways to embed a grinding disc in your face". You should never modify a grinding or cutting wheel like that.

Everything here is useless. If you want a hole, get a boring bit. If you want to remove a disc, use the tool that came with the grinder or your hands with gloves. Never use a cracked or broken disc EVER!!! The integrity is now compromised. This person is telling you how to get seriously injured.

The tricks to open the locknut are okay but please please do NOT try any of the other tricks shown, especially the ones involving modifying or cutting the blade. Angle grinders can be incredibly dangerous, do not cheap out.

Hydrochloric acid isn't readily available in most countries. Secondly, it's just a poor substitute to commercially available soldering flux. Regardless, you shouldn't solder batteries anyway; instead you spot-weld thin strips of metal onto them and solder onto those. The batteries can't tolerate getting hot enough to be soldered and will become dangerous if soldered or otherwise damaged.
@ReasonableAssumption
@ReasonableAssumption 14 күн бұрын
You actually want a hotter iron for battery take offs. A very hot iron will tack the take offs on it much quicker than a say 450 degree iron and will not damage the battery if you just tack and immediately remove the iron after. Muriatic acid is freely available and for the most part it's stronger cousin Hydrochloric acid is fairly easy to get as well in Canada and the USA.

People can become exposed to lead through occupational and environmental sources. This mainly results from: inhalation of lead particles generated by burning materials containing lead, for example during smelting, recycling, stripping leaded paint and plastic cables containing lead and using leaded aviation fuel; and ingestion of lead-contaminated dust, water (from leaded pipes) and food (from lead-glazed or lead-soldered containers) and from hand-to-mouth behaviour.
