off-side-trap: If u the last player before the opponent-goalie (the moment the pass towards you leaves the foot of your towards-you-passing teammate), u in off-side-position, and your goal won´t count.. Neither u nor opponent-players can know if u off-side (by half an inch or 1/8th of an inch). in most cases, u have to guess, watch it on a camera (imposible while u play), or have extreme space awareness, like Messi.. When he is off-side, he knows, he´ll still attract all the defenders on him, but then won´t touch the ball himself (if u don´t influence/touch the ball, then u aren´t off-side, since u are simply irrelevant for the outcome), so that a teammate in a free position gets the ball and scores. It´s the game of expectations he plays with the defenders. They try not to lose track of him, but they thereby lose track of him being half-an-inch off-side. He knows better than them, and exploits their (justified) fixation on him, to let a teammate score the goal. he´s beloved for letting nearly secure chances be scored by teammates instead, but to be able to do that, u have to be Messi (many offf-side-goals still count after all, even with today´s new 10-camera-tech, that´s used to verify, tech that didn´t even exist back then). Imagine u on the left side, and the last defender on the right side, both on a line parallel to the goalline, but still 30 yards apart... the ball leaves the foot of your teammate towards you. Even with cameras, it´s difficult to say, if your foottip/shoulder is 1/8th of an inch nearer (or further) to the goal than the foottip/shoulder of the defender 30 yards away...!!! if u nearer to the goalline than the defender (even by a fraction of an inch), it´s off-side, and the eventual goal won´t count. if u´re further, then u´re on-side, and any goal will count.

You spent a lot of time trying to shoehorn American football into rugby, which is a completely different game. I get that there are some common factors, but I don't think it's helpful to see rugby through that tunnel vision. Rugby supporters throughout the world will understand your football game and many will even have a team that they follow. It's a pity that Americans don't seem to reciprocate that interest. Unfortunately rugby is unlikely to catch on to any great extent in the USA, for the sole reason that the action doesn't stop every few minutes allowing TV stations to show ads. Two 40 minute halves of continuous game-play means that the mighty dollar would be secondary to the sport and I can't see that ever happening in the uber-capitalist USA.

They're not intentionally being ignorant, but they are ignorant. The thing is their heart is still in the right place by trying to understand and be accepting. But this looks like it was supposed to take place in like the early 90's or something. Lots of people were trying to be progressive, but..... they just didn't know anything.😂

Sometimes I wonder if people know this is a comedy skit and not real? I see so many people that react to this specific skit as if it's a real event. Comedy skits are based on ignorance and foolishness so there's no reason to dissect the skit with reality...just laugh along.

I know I’m two years late but have to point out that despite many similarities to American Football rugby is very very different. Forget the rules etc, the difference is that AF is very short fast plays with different sets of players. Rugby is non stop (sort of😂) for the whole game, so stamina is hugely important and doesn’t feature at all in AF., then the same set of players play the whole match unless substituted. Now ask whether an AF player could transfer straight into rugby and the answer is they’d need tremendous stamina training as well as learning the rules.

Your reactions gave me the idea that some of this actually offended you as if you yourself are part of the homosexual community. I don't think it's about ignorance because look at what is demonstrated at pride parades. Just about everything those people asked about does happen at those parades. Yes, these are actors, but there are many people who just don't jive with the LGBT movement or agenda, no matter how much the left and progressives are trying to shove it down our throats and make us try to accept it as normal.

At 10:50 , when you said it's chaos... let's just say, it's French flair?😅 France teams are known for being ... chaotic. They can play very well and mess up at the last minute or play bad and have a moment of genius. One of the best examples, is the RWC 2011. The team didn't play very well, yet they made it to the final... and during the final, they played very well, they almost deserve to win... and they lost. 😅 Actually for some of us, it became a inside joke: when the team is good, we expect them to mess up on very important matches and when the team is on a "bad phase" we laugh it of saying they want to surprise us at the most unexpected moment😅 (They're also a big headache for some of the other teams because of that)

A feild goal kick(Meaning it has to be a drop kick were the ball bounces off the ground before being struck.)Is worth 3 points in Rugby union unlike Rugby league where as it still has to be a drop kick is only worth 1 point & is usually used in clutch tied game's situations or overtime. A after the try conversion which is kicked off a ground kicking tee & the angle/where the ball is kicked from depends on wherever the try was grounded. (Eg.If the try was grounded under the uprights/goal poles than the kicker can simply kick the conversion from directly in front of them.) A conversion in rugby union as the same in rugby league ate worth 2 points unlike a penalty conversion kick which is worth 3 points in rugby union but still only 2 in rugby league.

In rugby union if you're offence is dominant enough you could retain the ball no matter the amount of tackles made by the defence(No limit on offensive attempts.)These are referred to as phases eg.1st phase 2nd phase ect. This could go on until the attacking team looses the ball either by a turn over beit in the ruck or maul, intercept, mistake such as a knock on or foward pass ect. or penalty awarded to the defensive team. And in term's of kicking the ball this can be done at any point of possession and retained by an offensive player/team mate of the person kicking the ball as long as when the ball is kicked your team mate that regains the ball was behind the kicker. If you're in front of the kicker than that is ruled as being offside.
