Are you supposed to "calibrate" these after replacement on an 07? Seen a lot of forums talking about that with different methods of doing so.

Thanks for the video as I never know where the spare was. But the video is very glib and poorly filed on what exactly you are doing particullary on how you put the spare back.

Sure wish you would’ve shown how to get that ratchet end on the screw hex head. The ratchet end is thicker which prevents you from getting hit next to the housing to back off the rear screw.

I have replaced the the actuator on top and the one near the gas pedal and I still have nothing but heat. I can see one on the right/passenger side but ductwork is in the way. I can’t find a video for removal of the ducts or the actuator.HELP! I’ve been working on this truck several days. I bought my replacements from autozone and O’Rielly, both DORMAN brand, now I’m told that they might not even work.

Thanks for the video helped a ton. Only thing you forgot to mention is that you need hands the size of a 4-year-old to get to the screw on the back side through the glove box.. at least on my 07 f150 lariat I had a heluva time getting my hand back there. My hand and forearm looks like I stuck it in a weed wacker lol but I got it.

Helpful video! So I bought a 2016 caravan and would you believe it doesn’t come with a spare tire? It does come with an electric pump and tire sealer but if the tire is damaged beyond a simple flat it could turns into a real inconvenience but the dealer obviously doesn’t look at it that way. So I called the dealer for a laugh cause that’s all they’re good for and he just read me some code number thingy that says MY van doesn’t include a spare tire and would do nothing more for me. What a joke! What’s even more funny, their motto is they say they treat their customers like family. LMAO What a joke. You always hope you don’t get a flat tire but just in case, it would be reassuring to know you have a spare. So I guess I’ll have to go find one on Kijiji or FB. The dealer wants $250.00 for theirs. They can have it. lol 🙄

I need to do a 2002 F150 but everything I find is for newer. Repair shop is saying they have to drop the dash! I ain't paying $700 to fix. I got the part at Autozone for $33.00 I use to be able to fix anything but I'm nursing a surgery to repair a broke femur plus arthritis in my hands. I just can't get in all the crazy positions like I use to and I'm 75 too. I thought my neighbor might help out. He got down and looked under the dash before I got the part. I told him about what it would look like but he didn't see anything he said. I don't know if there is a way for anyone to contact me that has replaced one on a 2002 F150 SuperCrew. I'll leave my email address and thanks to anyone that can help me, if you're in the Dallas, Texas area and can help, I'll buy you an $8.00 Whataburger! Lmao [email protected]

Thanks man I replaced mine. Was a challenge cuz of the tight squeeze but I got it in, n got all 3 8mm bolts in snug. Couldn't fit a ratchet wrench in because the walls of the wrench head were too thick and there was very little clearance between the bolt head and the housing of the actuator so I had to use a regular 8mm wrench.. Lost a bolt and the wrench at one point. Retrieved them some how lol. Heats working good!!! Also I initially thought it was the heater core, paid $35 to have diagnosed at the automotive shop
