Back then desired females & women liked wearing stockings willingly unlike now at days. Now you have Transvestites, or Transgendered females who wear stockings more than genuine born women who do. Because we inspire & motivate far too many women to be crossdressers, or to be tomboyish, & lazy non-hosiery wearer types who don't see the point in wearing hosiery. Or we have far too much androgyny & alot of women rebel against dressing or being feminine like that is a crime or a sin to be feminine?

Wait... what the f***! Oops, sorry, I curse like a sailor. That's what being a welder made of me. But, I spoke too soon in my other comment. With respect. You went from one race to another, just with a little makeup. I don't buy makeup because I feel I'm too old for it. And since I don't know how to apply it, I feel like I'd look silly. In my early twenties, I wore red lipstick and mascara. I admired Amy Winehouse because she did her... no ones opinion mattered. In my younger years, I wore wiggle dresses. But now, at this age, I'm scared to even wear that. But you are beautiful both ways.

I wasn't trying to be offensive in any way. You do resemble her, and I do apologize if I offended you in any way. You know what they say about assuming? 😏🤔 without knowing the why. I'm turning 64 in a cpl of weeks, and I think... if you have it, flaunt it. If you haven't tried it, try it. One of my pet peeves is when older women say Omg, or I have never. My answer to that is maybe you should. Or you probably did worse when you were younger. None of us knew you back then, and if you didn't, it was probably that you didn't have what it took. I tell my children, don't ever change for anyone. Always be your beautiful self. God bless.

Thank you so much for your comment. I actually do wear my Hunter boots in the spring without socks. For winter, I purchased the socks Hunter makes for these boots; they are awesome. For me, 1/2 and ankle socks slide down. Do you wear your Hunter boots with socks?

Yes, for some reason, so many women in the USA take on the bare leg look. Sad. As many time’s traveling in the UK and Europe, it seems that women in those countries still wear stockings/Pantyhose or tights with casual outfits and look elegant. It is amazing that there are many stores that have large departments dedicated to women’s hosiery, with a variety unsurpassed , than what you see in the USA. However, it may have changed here, as the recent addition of online hosiery sales by new suppliers may be overtaking the department store sales. Sheertex, LesBelles and Threads must be doing something right. So I will applaud those women who complete their fashion wardrobe with a fine pair of stockings/tights.

Since I started dating after my divorce ; I was 52 at the time . EVERY girlfriend GLADLY wore thigh stockings and stilettos for me . This was a “ chore “ for my ex , and she would even be a rude bitch when I’d politely ask her to wear them for me . Funny ( not funny ) how girlfriends will DO things to please a man that a ( typical ) “ wifey “ refuses or complains or makes the husband wish that he didn’t ask for …. Sad .

As a woman in her 50s, I will say thigh-highs aren't always comfortable in every situation. However, I am a fashion stylist who LOVES a good garter belt moment and will suffer for my fashion. LOL. What I will say about your comment is that women wear fashion for themselves, not necessarily for their men. I am happy you have been fortunate to find women who like to do kind things for you. I wish the enthusiasm for current demand for nylons depicted in this video were true! Unfortunately, women seem bent on the "bare leg" look for the past 20 years and have thrown class, elegance, and style to the side. In California, where I live, it is either bare legs or yoga pants for days. On the VERY rare occasion I see a woman in sheer nylon, she is always the most elegant in a room. I wish you were right, person who made this video, but sloppy and bare legs (yuck) rule for now. Maybe someday... I miss the elegance and class of years past.

I completely agree and believe that your climate definitely plays into it. I grew up on the East Coast in Washington, DC, where tights were a fall staple and many of the ladies on Capitol Hill still wear stockings with their fierce business suits. In the DC area, it's more cold than hot, and on fierce winter days, a pair of tights under your pants is a must. Also, fashion is a pendulum. For summer 2024, the fashion trend is little stocking socks with sandals. Maybe it will hit the West Coast this summer. Thanks a million for watching and commenting on my video!

@@ab-fabdesigns I hope you are correct on the fashion pendulum thing. It seems as if it has been twenty years since casual has been dominant in fashion for both men and women. Seeing a woman dressed in heels, nylons, skirt/dress with hair styled is so INCREDIBLY rare.
