Hayashi-ha is a much better Shito ryu style. It also includes weapons. Hayashi-ha himself was a great master. I did Shito ryu from Shitokai organization and it’s a bit feminized style of Shito ryu.

Both of my wheels stopped spinning freely, now they spin with a lot of drag. There's some sticky goop at the end of one of the motor coils. I'm wondering if that is slowing the shell down

I would be surprised if you didn't get more issues. The ZX has problems with its battery and motors. To many issues for people for it not to be a flaw in the design.

Have you considered kiwiberry (fuzzless, grapesize super sweet kiwi) vines to cover your pergola, too? Also, if you want to do some cuttings, there are videos to show you how to do cuttings very easily using nothing but a tub, playground sand and a plastic bag. Super easy. And I'd trade you a couple of pineapple plants, a banana pup (dwarf Brazilian) and cuttings of my Golden Dorset Apple and Moonglow Pear trees and some pineapple plants, Loquat. Honey Mango and/or Medjool Date Palm seedlings for some cuttings of some of your fruit trees, specifically the Jabuticaba, Cotton Candy Tree, Figs and/ or mulberry trees. Also, have you considered Longan Berry or Soursop or Jackfruit or dragon fruit or Mamey or Bananas? They're all really good and easy to grow here in the Orlando area (I'm on the West side). Thanks for the info and let me know if you'd be interested in a trade. Also, you can do cloning by cutting a 1" ring from a branch, then dusting it with rooting hormone. Use a water bottle cut down one side, tying it to the tree with some moist soil inside. Wrap the bottle in aluminum foil to block out the light for a month or two. Voila! New tree you can now cut off just under the root ball and plant it or pot it. I've done it with some of my mom's Orange trees at her place in Gainesville before she moved in with us so now we can enjoy those sweet fruits when those trees start to produce. Please let me know. Years ago, I studied Hayashi-Ha Shito-Ryu in Chicago under Sensei Ken Fugare. A knee injury took me out months before my black belt test. My knee got better, but by then Sensei was no longer practicing, a few of my classmates said he had health problems, but I've never been able to find out what actually happened to him, or if he's even still alive. We we're kids when Sensei was training us, and he was something of a father figure to me. If anyone knows what happened to him, I'd love to finally know.
