Owned this airplane back in the 80s. I really enjoyed flying it, and enjoy seeing that it's still flying in good hands!

There’s a much easier way to do this. Just put FEYFO in the blue (L1 or FROM waypoint). It will set your front course of 049 automatically and give you an extended centreline. It’s the same as Activate Leg on Garmin, etc.. and if you pass it because of a tight vector it will continue auto sequencing even if you aren’t on the track. Just arm Nav or Approach as appropriate and it will capture. The only time you need to use intercept course (same as OBS for Garmin) is if you need to do an intercept that isn’t direct a waypoint or published. And putting TANAH in the blue doesn’t make you fly that entire leg. The only way to fly that entire leg is to go direct TANAH (PPOS in the Blue). No, it’s going to automatically set front course the same.. 049.. continue to auto sequence as necessary.. and intercept if Nav or Approach is armed at whatever point it crosses.

I'm going to personally come to the home of the first person who says "V2 at my gym" without irony, and drown them in chalk. Nice send.

I saw some video beta on the Kaya app the other day of a V6 I wanted to do and thought... 'really?! It's that simple?' and couldn't accomplish the first 2 moves 😂

I've been climbing for 5 months now, so I'm relatively new too. What helped me progress on overhangs is climbing faster. It was pretty scary to just go for moves quickly at first, but you'll save so much power that you are going to need later in the climb.

Good send, although it's impossible to see the whole climb. From what I could observe, some good practice is to drop your weight some more rather than "pulling out" as a means to straighten your arms. It'll work better once you start climbing V3s

Thank you for this. I have 45 hours and my instructors (two of them) have never even mentioned using trim on an approach. I am always pitching to control my airspeed. It looked like you were trimming the nose up, is that correct?

Nice video for perfect weather. How about showing a landing with crosswind and gusts when you can’t let go of the yoke?

Can I always trim for my approach speed? Can I do it on my PPL exam?
@christopherbrown1730
@christopherbrown1730 6 ай бұрын
Yes, you are the one flying the plane. Control the plane with the yoke, adjust power as needed. Establish your airspeeds and rate of decent and trim away excess forces. You should be able to let go over the yoke and the plane will fly in a steady manner. That could be cruise flight, climb, or a descent. Just trim the plane for whatever you are trying to do.

Contrary to power controlling rate of descent and pitch controlling air speed, In this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y8ddZtuGpsvQpn0.html instructor says that pitch controlling vertical speed and power air speed. Which one is correct?

When you are on the back side of the power curve such as when you are in the pattern and approaching to land, you pitch for airspeed and power controls rate of descent.

Another way is to push the OBS button and select the 055 course. This will display an overlay of the radial. Once you intercept the course, deselect OBS mode and activate direct to EMI.

Great video, thank you. Question: So you're trimmed for landing and you decide to go around. Do you reset your trim to takeoff setting as soon as you add full power or do you wait for positive climb rate?
@Turboy65
@Turboy65 2 жыл бұрын
I was taught within my first few lessons to trim for the current state of flight. On final, set pitch trim and throttle to hold glide path with zero yoke pressure. It's almost like cheating!

Just want to make sure I understand, so “making it big” automatically extends the center line for you? And if you didn’t “make it big” the fms won’t cycle past the “discontinuity?” I have school coming up soon in a king air 350i which has a proline 21 setup so I’m trying to learn as much as I can. Thanks for the video. 👍

When I learnt to fly I realized that trimming was giving me much calmed landings than ever, until my instructor told me that I should never trim without adjusting the joke first. That was the end of my practice and I forgot all about it until now. Thanks.

Pretty good. I've dabbled with the acoustic guitar and learned some chords. What's your tuning, starting from bottom string? EBGDAE? Yeah, you have to trim the nails on the fingering hand. Does your fingering palm mute the bottom string like mine often does? Anyway, keep at it. It's sounding better every video.
