Thank you! That’s a great idea but just want to clarify that I added horticultural charcoal on the bottom then soil and then sheet moss. Also, you’re not supposed to drown your terrarium with water anyways. A little sprinkle is okay and since it’s an “open terrarium” it should be okay without leca. Speaking from experience.

It’s not her fault mealy bugs got on the Hoya! Mealy bugs are a common pest in house plants.

thank you so much Chippy. They probably misunderstood my video. I was enjoying the bloom cause I waited for it for so long until I saw a mealy bug. I panicked and stopped recording. I decided to cut the bloom and used a tonic soil to hopefully kill the rest of the mealy bugs that are hiding inside the soil.

I don’t want to give someone an unhealthy plant and mealy bug could attack their entire collection. That would be a nightmare. Those succulents I threw away are easily accessible too so it’s okay!

Thank you for the advice and for watching my video. But that is why I let it dry well so it will not get a crown rot! I have been growing orchids for a couple of years and this is how I water them and I have not yet kill any of them through this watering technique.

I have tried semi-hydroponic but they were not really doing anything on it but grow roots. I decided to mount them and mine started growing and it bloom this year! I use orchid fertilizer from Walmart the $5 one.
