Magnificent! What I love most is that it is, as you say, "as it was born", and not a "tribute", etc. I've seen so many with mag-style wheels that I had to stop and think about the standard wheel covers. Canadians were lucky in that you could chose something less ordinary than a Chevelle for the same money, as well the full size Pontiacs vs. Chevrolets. Though I suppose not so lucky if you wanted an American Pontiac as you';d have to pay the tariff for such a distinction. Regardless, Pontiac was where it was happening whether North or South of the 49th Parallel. Somewhat related, I saw a '65 Canso parked on a street about a month ago...although both slightly before my time, these cars just bring back a moment in time. '67 was a pivotal year for Canada. Well done.

Thank you very much for watching and the kind words it's certainly nice to see that others truly appreciate them as they really were , it's not common today to see a restored car wear hub caps and I agree 67 was a fun time for the automotive industry

Warranties are mostly worthless, because the companies do not really honor them, or they are only 1 year. Or there is the problem of the parts store only willing to give you a replacement of the same junk brand that failed right out of the box. Bought a coolant reservoir at advance auto. Thing failed a month later. They would only give me a replacement, expecting me to put the same junk on, and it failing soon also. I wanted a refund, so I could just go buy the part from the dealer. I had to resort to going in on the managers day off, and convincing the employee that the manager approved a refund, then got the refund, and promptly went to dealer. Dealer part lasts 5 to 7 years. knock offs sold at parts stores dont even last at all. junk. Even the dealer parts are mostly made in mexico, or other places. Quality seems to be declining no matter where you buy from.

Some beautiful cars...would easily take the whole day to give the show a good look. The pair of Manitoba cars...the '69 Camaro and the '67 Beaumont were a nice (and new) treat to see...along with many other cars. Thanks for the coverage, Gary...it allows people who are no longer in Saskatoon to "visit" and enjoy a downtown tradition in The Toon.

That car was build by my friend and familly here in Québec canada, my favorite piece was the front bumper with the 3 holes ,my uncle was the owner of that acadian, when it was sold to the us it had different wheels , still had the Drums brake in the front. I was to young back then to buy it , does anybody have more information about randy ? I would love tho speak to him and ask him if he would sell it one day , this vid brought a tear , so much good memories with that car

It's certainly nice to be able to peek in the cars for a closer look however I've had issues at shows like this where people actually get in the cars without permission as well as finger prints all over , often the general public don't understand the no touchy rules

We didn't rope off, but with the ignorance of some people down there I get it. My parents (didnt rope off downtown either) have a 55 Crown Victoria and on Saturday (at Co-Op) some kid opened the door, jumped in their car and was playing around with everything in there. People not watching their kids and people not respecting I kinda get it.

@TheRedlineRun ya very sorry to hear that , it's something that shouldn't ever happen but does, last year my car was parked at the dubs Saturday night and it got covered in a sugary substance front to back not sure if it was a kid spitting his slurpy drink all over my car , that shit didn't come off easily, I also had people get into my car , so I understand the rope and in many ways prefer it

Saskatoon Antique Auto Club doesn't and never has. They are always stationed on 21st Street in front of the Canada Building. There's been talk of roping it off, but I hope the club doesn't go that route. It makes it more inviting for people to look in the cars and ask the owners' questions. Our experience has found people very respectful. I guess we've been lucky.

Hey Gary good video, we're from BC and have just moved to the Saskatoon area. This is a move that we've been planning for the last 3 years, and for the last 3 years we've been able to attend this show and are always impressed. However we've seen multiple ads for this show claiming to be "Western Canadas'Largest Car Show". Sorry but I have to set the record straight. Langley BC has their Cruise in' first Saturday after Labor Day (since 1997) and I have attended every show (as a participant). This show typically draws approx 1900 vehicles. This would make it Western Canadas' Largest Car Show. If you ever get the chance please check it out, I'm sure your viewers would love to see it. Keep up with the great videos.

Hi Gary, That was my 1978 Trans Am (the gold one). There are 3 ways to differentiate between 77 and78. Easiest is the grilles….77 grills were a honeycomb style,78 were diagonal. Second way is 78 shaker sits higher than 77 as they changed the intake manifold for 78. You would likely need to see the two years side by side to notice unless you are really familiar with these cars. Third and easiest way is the roof hatches. 77 cars used Hurst hatches and 78 hatches were from the Fisher body plant. Hurst hatches were smaller with a wide roof between them and not full length. They came back to about 3” from back of side windows and had about a foot of roof between them. Fishers in 78 were full length and have maybe 6” of roof between them. Thanks for the compliment on my car!

Your absolutely right and for some reason there's alot of people that don't seem to understand this, it's always been the guy behind the counter, we have no control where and how part's are manufactured today and the large sum of them are poor quality buy if there's a good guy doing his job looking after his customer we will be ok
