Hi Jeff. Your tips are so valuable to me. a question. When a 3D part is changed, a new part is created every time. How can I update it? Version is R2021.1

I forget which version, but sometime after R2021.1 there will be the option when you create the part from 3D to either update the existing part, or make a new part. In 2022.4 it asks for new or update. You can contact your IGEMS reseller for a quote on updating. The 3D-5X area has come a long way.

I've now found out that you have to double-click on the 3D part. Then you get the choice between update and new part.

Hi Jeff, thanks so much for your Igems videos.👍 I have a few questions about importing loads of data into organiser and I was hoping you could help me out with how to do this way easier than manually adding every piece for more than 1500 pieces.

Hi. I have the trial. I am trying to decide between igems and almacam. I want be able to cut patterns/ designs into a dome type shape, upside down wok, or similar. How will igems handle that? Almacam rep thought there maybe 2 many paths? Calculations? I guess with changing z axis. Any ideas? Obviously yr preferred options is igems. Lol

I presume you have, or will be getting, a 5-axis waterjet of some type? I've really enjoy working with IGEMS because of the people behind the software. IGEMS has been doing waterjet software for something like 30 years now and the software is really only waterjet. There are tabs for plasma and laser, but they don't really do that. Other packages also can be used for lasers, plasma, oxy-fuel, etc. As with many things that try to be all things to all people, none tends to be the best. If I find a bug in IGEMS, or have an idea for a new feature, they'll usually have any changes made in a day or two. There is a sample in the 3D-5X module of a part like you describe. I'll do a video on how a part like that can be programmed.

They use almac it is more affordable than igems but I can see there is much better info and custermer interactions with igems and Information videos. Almac dosent have that. But better cost. So I am torn as to what to do. Does igems work with ecs controller?
