@GRUBB-MUDD got 2 of them first they came out. Spring broke on one about 20 minutes into stamping and other one stays in the shop. Guess it's a personal preference thing but no one on our crew likes it. Cool idea and design but if you gotta hit the concrete with any forced harder than walking on the stamps it doesn't allow it. Be cool if they had an adjustment to stiffen or soften the spring

Appreciate that man glad someone got something out of it. That's all that matters to me. It's like using a shovel all day or for a week straight when you start to get blisters you readjust your grip. Eventually you'll find a way that has least amount of wear of the body. Don't get me wrong, calises are good but no sense making more than you need. I love the 2 tone hardener for the wood plank. Great job. What do you mean by high light color has portland in it.
@bensconcretecreationsАй бұрын
It's the darker 2 tone effect you see in the low spots called antiquing you apply after the concrete is stamped and cleaned and before sealing if you're using liquid release instead of powder release

Up or down inches per how many feet?
@bensconcretecreationsАй бұрын
@VeryStableGenius depends on what we're doing. This particular driveway is 3600 square feet, will be poured at 5" thick and a seamless texture stamp. We aim for 1.5"-2" of fall every 10' on stamped concrete and 1" minimum every 10' if it's broom finished.

Another option is to use iron oxide as a colorant. The oxide will not fade and the color palette is extensive, black, blue, red and yellow. it's in powder form and can be mixed with water to any consistency. It is often used as a colorant in concrete, clay and in ceramic glazes.
@bensconcretecreationsАй бұрын
I've used these in overlay materials. Send me a link to what product you use would love to check it out. Ive used colorfast from a company called durramen.
@raysville7256Ай бұрын
@@bensconcretecreations Any ceramic/pottery supply in your area will have the iron oxides. My last purchase was from Sri Lanka (ebay) and took a while to ship but the price was agreeable. I use the oxides for ceramic glaze making, but sometimes experiment with them. They also make for great wood stains.

I'd think they'd charge less for time wasted. Hard to do a nice decorative concrete project with crooked or crowned boards. Not as much of an issue with rough framing but each trade is different
