Lidstrom is by far the best defender to ever play the game imo. Orr had nothing on him

Mcdavid is in a whole nother league of all stars. Crosby was great but doesn’t come near Connor.
@justindietzler878712 күн бұрын
What do you mean? It is the other way around. Crosby youngest player to have 100 points. Youngest or tied for hart and art ross. Believe was the youngest in North America for sports. Youngest captain to win a cup. Olympic gold with golden goal. Crosby was hurt in his prime when it was much lower scoring. There was a stat he had at one point 140 points in 82 games through those years in a much lower scoring era. His ppg were so far ahead of everyone else. He then comes back and wins heart and art ross. He has led the league in goals multiple times, assists, points and so on. Mcdavid will have more individual awards by the end obviously bc he wasn’t hurt. Crosby won World Cup plus World Cup mvp. 3 Stanley cups with back to back conn smythes that’s only been done three times in the history of the nhl and first time and only in salary cap era. He led his team to 16 straight playoffs. He now has 19 ppg seasons tying Wayne Gretzky but the only one to average more than a ppg since Wayne had one that was even. Crosby is top 5 all time playoff points only behind 80s oilers with no salary cap. Mcdavid will have the individual trophies bc Crosby was hurt and he also had Ovechkin who was so dominant back then as well. But Crosby did all this while missing so much time. The scoring is higher now and that is great for the game and Connor. Crosby also had the game winning goal in first winter classic ever. Mcdavid has individual awards but Crosby has had individual awards, the better career and has won at every level and had the biggest moments at the biggest games.

Joe wore #19 because of Steve. They both were amazing captains on excellent teams (well, maybe not the Wings in Steve's early years), and even though those teams hated each other, their personal rivalry was one of mutual respect. I actually met Stevie Y once, and he was very cool. Having said all that, though, I lived in Denver throughout Joe's time there so I gotta go with him by a hair!

This was the last era of true Hockey as today's Hockey is nothing even close to this! I was 9 years old when Dougie was Captain and Leafs had the cup that year (Damn Gretzky..) Today's Leafs well no comment. Long Live Dougie, Clark and the 92 93 Leafs Team! Best Team EVER!!!

Lidstrom, Bobby Orr himself has said Nick is better, played in a harder more skilled era with tons of toughness and his durability was 10× what Orr's was, Lidstrom was all around a better player
