Yes I have used it on many soaps thewre should be stearic acid of somesort in the soap to get the lather to work but I have lathered a lot of soaps that shouldn't lather with this technique.

Thanks for the video. I have two Omega Boar brushes that are pretty stiff. I have the 10065 and 10049 that need to be broken in. I have two equally affordable Zenith brushes that are basically broken in out of the box.

I have the Omega 10005 beechwood boar brush, the same one you showed last. This method works well, i think it is just about broke in. Actually I just bought another one so i can rotate them, and i'm just starting this process on the new one. They take along time to air dry, and with just one it wasn't drying fast enough as i shave every other day. Can't go wrong for $15.

I used the fridge method, then lettin the brush dry overnight with lather on it two nights in a row. I lost all softness I had before... whoops

today i just threw away my coconut shaving soap from geo trumpers. i tried every method to make it work but i did not try with lots of water. i went to take it out of the garbage and i will give it a chance at shaving tomorrow. i just mixed it in a quite ok lather but i must say that for 20€ i expected so be better than it is. tabac and mondial beat it in skin protection quality. not worth the money i payed. i like the smell of it but i need skin protection more

Yeah agree. Waste of money, I'vre tried everything. I'm gonna use mine as handsoap if I don't throw it away. I really expected more from this soap. Guess I'll stick to Proraso.

@@Zorpho86 i dont belive it will work as a hand soap either. its too oily. i will use my TOBS sandalwood till the end and then go back to mondial. fuck everything. germans say if it works dont fix it. i will stick to what i know it works

It’s bad the video got cut off. I wanted to see how it lasted for him. When I used it it dissipates usually within about 1-3 min depending on how good of a lather I made.

Why don't just bloom it and soften the soap?

I got an omega boar brush wanting the backbone, expected it to be super scratchy the way everyone talks about them, but I didn't find it that bad.

Thank you this is the most straight forward video on breaking in a boar 🐗 brush I did the same thing however when rubbing it on the towel I was not pressing hard enough You are very aggressive with your rubbing and that works allot better Again thank you and keep up the good videos 😃👍

Thank you for the nice informative video, I hope your channel and business grow larger. I've got some question may sound silly but I'd like to ask you, well I use normal shaving foams and creams, can you explain in video what are differences and advantages of using prepared lubricants and soaps than these not pre-conditioned soaps, i assume its like comparing a fast food with a food from a non-fast-restaurant. Well, most of the time I don't have time or free-up time for shaving, just 5 minutes quick shave after the shower before work.
@OverclockersHQ6 жыл бұрын
Ermiya Karan shaving soap is better for your skin than the blue goop or shaving foam. There is no carcinogenics also no propellants so it is more natural and it also makes your skin feel a lot better after. You can get a good shave in 5 minutes even with shave soap.

Prohibition Style Shaving lovely, may I have some suggestions on your video, I'm not sure what type of video camera do you use, I believe it if you place at the higher place than your head you shot better, and we see more of your stuff. About the cream thing, I'd like to ask you make a comparison video for many of us commoners not pros like you that never use these stuff. Please enlighten us. Appreciate your help and effort. God bless you.

Thank you Justin!!! Great shave and I’m glad that you enjoyed the new base. I did mix this myself after one of my testers suggested I come up with a plum soap like Calani (Anthony Esposito). Another friend gave me a sample of Oriental Plum and I used many of the same notes (including vanilla). I also added Plumeria, which I believe rounded it out nicely. Thanks again!
