KIA Ora ,, I’m just fascinated with your love and passion for weaving ,, I love your style and your videos ,, looking at your videos and work with harakeke you remind me of my mother who would be 101 years old now ,, she did all the types of weaving that you do, I discovered her recipe for making and tanning piupiu ,, the process etc my mother was also a prolific writer song writer and weaver kaka haka I remember her weaving with pingao and kiekie some of her tukutuku work can be found in some of our meeting houses ,, I have only a small remnant of her kete but I remember asking her if she would taniko a belt for me after her death I found the belt that she made for me the majority of it is complete it’s just the ends that need to be tied off ,, you’re a very special woman following in the footsteps of your tipuna and your ancestors ,, You’re korowai are just beautiful a real work of art ,, He pupuritia te mana o to tātou tipuna ,,

Your whanau are beautiful weavers, i have the Taniko book who has Rangimarie Hetet in it. I am a weaver who was taught by some beautiful Tearawa and other weavers for 5 years and graduated with Tewananga o Aotearoa in 2004 ,2005. I moved to oz 2007 and have not done any weaving since. Just no materials available and i miss it😢. Keep your videos coming.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and awesome display of your family history in korowai and kakahu. We had the privilege of visiting the home stead near Tekuiti and were blown away by the fine detail by your kuia. We were very much intimidated by the fine detail in the taniko weaving and are truly indebted to be viewing such taonga. You truly are a blessing to the memory of your tipuna.
