Wow this dude was so electric, he was legit the best number 3 hitter we have had in a long time. The swagger and energy he brought to this team has yet to be matched. I hope the Mets celebrate him cause without him the Mets don't go on that legendary world series run.

I’m not a Mets fan but I got to give the Mets credit where credit is due. Gary Cohen is one of the best play by play announcers I’ve ever heard. Watching this video and hearing him just go bonkers when those home runs were hit is why I love baseball as much as I do. Because you can tell that the people who announce for these teams are genuine fans. Honestly I prefer him over Michael Kay and this is coming from a die hard Yankee fan.

The fact that this video is damn near 20 MINUTES LONG should tell you all you need to know about the run this man had. Didn’t record his first hit as a net until August 2nd. Roughly two months of games and has a full season length highlight reel. Crazy.

I will never forget this run. I was living in the UK at the time and most games I had to wake up the next day to see what happened. I would always wake up to see HR: Cespedes (x) So awesome
