This was an amazing review. I have been on KZfaq researching photography and videography and this review taught me more about to use my camera than most things I watch. Great Work!

Most useful video about this lense. Especially the living room footages. But overall very useful. Thanks.

I am going to be the contrarian here. I see every comment LOVED this video review. My guess is many have not actually read REAL lens reviews. You know, those boring things where they actually REVIEW A LENS. You can tell when it's a lens review because they speak about things related to THAT lens. Things like SHARPNESS, VIGNETTING, CHROMATIC ABBERATION, DISTORTION, CONTRAST, SHADOW/HIGHLIGHT DETAIL, COLOR BIAS....just to start. Yes, that would be a lens review. This, was NOT a lens review. It spend half the time teaching people how to use a wide angle lens properly. That is great if: I did not know, I wanted to know, or I was told it was going to be a beginner photography class.

How to set exposure in the camera as the lens doesn't communicate. How to tell the camera what aperture you are using so that the camera can figure out the shutter speed/iso etc??? Does a camera allow to set an aperture value arbitrarily???
@NearlyFromAfar3 жыл бұрын
Great question - luckily, it all works very smoothly. For instance, if you want Aperture Priority mode, you set the aperture directly on the lens. After that, the camera will take a meter reading by looking through the aperture that you've set, and come up with the appropriate shutter speed. If you want Shutter Priority, set your shutter speed on the camera body, and again take a meter reading. Then, change the aperture on the lens back and forth while looking at the camera's EV scale to see where the overall exposure lands. Adjust the aperture on the lens some more for how you want the exposure of the pic to appear.
