Starter (engine bay) and fuse box (interior) power for me. Oem you'd have the power for abs as well

I'm surprised at your comments comparing the Z3 and E46 racks as the E46 has a faster ratio (forget L2L as that just tells us where the stops are). The numbers I've found are as follows, racks are Linear unless otherwise stated: Z4 12.8:1 E46 13.7:1 Z3 14.5:1 (or 13.9 depending on source or model) E36 15.4:1 Progressive (pre-95 very progressive, '96+ slightly progressive) E46 M3 15.4:1 E30 20.5:1 There's debate over some of these numbers because internet, but the E46 # came out of a BMW manual.

Again 96+ m3 is linear It might be a faster ratio but in terms of feel. Z3 is a much faster turning rack. L2l does matter. But again this is all my opinion on these racks. Someone else driving them back to back on the same set up could feel something different

Great info thanks, but I've read the '96+ E36 racks are also progressive, just to a much lesser degree that the earlier E36 racks. I have an '96 E36 and haven't noticed any progression, but I think it's subtle enough that you're not supposed to.

Hahah no it's all good! So I awkwardly put the camera on a stand on the center console and then I wrapped my arm behind it. Basically shifting from the passenger side while being in the driver seat. Was a good angle for the camera bad angle from me to shift without hitting the camera

Hey what’s up bro I just watched your Garagistic rear strut bar video and I don’t have that specific one with the base plates I just bought there e30 strut bar kit and I choose mine to be in the paint color white. For some reason on my BMW E30 325i Convertible I can’t seem to find the rear strut bars. Which sounds a little wierd unless your coupe has a different spot for them. So I was wondering if maybe you knew something?

Vert strut mounts are where the convertible top fold down. Most rear strut bars do not fit verts, if any! All websites are very specific on it not fitting verts. Coupe/sedan are the same, verts have many different chassis differences for the interior and trunk

Unfortunately this e30 one won't. I believe e28 has a split steering column like the airbag e30. It would have to be redesigned as a one piece steering column. There has been a few people to ask for e28 so I will look into it

Any strut bar for e30 is worth the money. In my opinion this is a much needed upgrade to every e30. This one definitely wins in the style and performance factor.

Hi, I believe we have talked about this in the past. Personally and sorry to say I would never try and put an m20 in an e36. Too heavy of a car for the motor. It's a generation behind in a motor. Better off with an m42 which came in some e36

Unfortunately we did not get the m20b20 here in the US so Unfortunately I dont know. Although normally you keep the engine harness with the motor your using. But if all the pin outs are the same since it's a late model and all the sensors are the same. It would be fine. But like I said I'm not sure. Sorry!

87 325is is already 1.3 or alteast my car was. I just wanted to use late model engine harness. Only thing 87 doesn't have is the detachable injector harness. Everything else is basically the same. Also c104 different

So such thing as "best". Every rack has different characteristics. E36 m3 96+ might be preferred over a e46 yellow or purple tag. But yes a yellow or purple is a great upgrade if your looking for something more

Connectors are the same, wiring is the same lol. Both are white, yellow, black wire same order. Usually a trial and error of flipping them back and forth till car starts

If your taking about the 3 pin (only 2 being used) black plug on the late model hvac harness. It the compressor switch. On early model it goes through the engine harness. On late model it goes through the chassis harness

I live in Germany and we have 90% Canyons around here and I’m an sporty daily driver by the way and i need a good feeling, direct not to heavy but with good street response and turnable wheel. What kind of package did you you prefer to me and what i need indeed to change? What kind of parts can i use exactly and what is the differences between the yellow, blue, purple, red ore the silver batch on the Racks? Do i need to change the oil lines ore how can i change all these? I like your very good feeling on the Wheel and that makes really sense to me and there for I need your experience. Hi, how's it going? Shoot me a message on Instagram which will make communication easier. If you don't want something to heavy i recommend a e36 m3 96+ rack. 3.2 lock to lock compared to 4.0 stock e30 rack. Doesn't have the heavy feeling the e46 racks have. Perfect upgrade over stock. The colored tags represent the racks and their part numbers. Yes the lines will need to be changed for the racks swap. There is a few differences between all the e36 models. 95 M3 3.0 turns lock-to-lock 96+ M3/MZ3 3.2 turns lock-to-lock Z3 2.8 turns lock-to-lock 325 3.4 turns lock-to-lock 328 3.2 turns lock-to-lock

It's not set up for it but theoretically if you where to wire the potentiometer into the ecu to control voltage it might work...not a bad idea. The old version of this was controlled by the cars speed sensor but it was decided the adjustment knob was better for setting how it should feel
