that was one of the most frustrating scenes in tv history. the bear is ripping mr edwards a new one, and this pussy just stands there BECAUSE HE LOVES THE ANIMALS so much! edwards is going "shoot him, shoot him!" and pussy boy just watches. he won't even throw a rock or go "scat" to the bear. i guess he didn't want to hurt it's feelings either.

I read in a fanfiction comments page, someone said they met him and he was one of the nicest gentlemen he had ever met. He said while he enjoyed his experience with LHOTP, he hated the way they tied up his character because he couldn’t believe John would forsake Mary for someone else just because they were living in other towns hadn’t written to each other in a while. In “I’ll Ride the Wind” he showed the willingness to sacrifice his college savings to be a farmer, build a homestead like all the other men in Walnut Grove so he could marry Mary right away. But Mary said no because she felt bad about him throwing it all away for her so she insisted he go to college to get his writing degree after all. The fact that he showed the willingness to put aside something very important to him for love showed the depth of his feelings for Mary so that Season 4 episode would definitely be out of character for him. It’s funny how sometimes the actors understand the characters better than the directors/screenwriters do.

I'm so looking forward to finally going and visiting this, do they have it marked where the side stable was and also do they have any idea where the house that they built was, according to the books it should be located between the dugout site and the town about a half mile closer to town. Also I find it slightly annoying that they try to pretend this rock sitting there is the big rock, according to the books that has absolutely no resemblance to the big rock. The big rock would have been in a field where they would have brought the cows through after grazing and the big rock would have been much much larger than that little pathetic rock.

Dean Butler came to my sixth-grade class in Stockton, CA, in spring 1982. I believe he was friends with my school teacher, a smart, preppy, kind young woman named Miss Keller. I think she said they had known each other in college. Dean was friendly, and seeing his open, winning smile just like on TV was memorable. He was nice, attentive, laid back and well dressed. I recall a button down shirt and sweater tied over the shoulders. I believe at the time Little House was filming about an hour east near Sonora in California's Gold Country. I liked him immediately, and I found his calm and gregarious nature refreshing. He had star looks but farmer boy humility, and I never forgot it. I wish him all the best!

That’s right, I heard they also did some filming in Sonora, but I’m not sure what special sets they had there. It looks like Dean gets along with lots of people.

Glad to see him so well adjusted. I was acquainted with him in Jr High during the Kung Fu era. He was such a nice kid and was treated so badly by so many of the other kids, it's remarkable to see him doing so well. I felt so bad for him at school. Made me realize at a young age how difficult fame can be.

My Husband always liked him Kung Fu was important to him and opened up a lot of Eastern religion to him we own the whole series on DVD. My Husband met David Carridine and was in part of a crowd scene in the movie Cloud Dancer. He said David was a nice guy and even thanked him for watching the series and said that meant a lot to him being a fan of the show.

So wonderful to listen to Billy!!! I think about him often and wonder if he is still in Nashville. I met Billy back in 1993. I don't remember exactly how I met him. I was starting to write myself and asked Billy if he would mentor me. I told him I didn't want anything from him other than teach me. I tried to help him sell his record into stores around Minneapolis back their. I still have that record and cottonwood river is one of my favorites. I still have his demo recording of "I Thought I Heard A Train". I think this song is my favorite one he wrote.. "I thought I heard a train, off somewhere in the night.... I used Sheila Davis's book as well. In fact I think I still have it... God bless you, Billy.

Probably just didn't like being forced to kiss at such a young age is all.
@rr7firefly2 жыл бұрын
@@throwingspaghetti What? Melissa Gilbert would have gladly sat in for those kissing scenes. Later she just transferred her puppy love to Dean Butler. It's a miracle she didn't get pregnant. Good thing too because Michael Landon would have fired her from the show.
@katvtay4 ай бұрын
@@throwingspaghettiShe was notoriously difficult to work with on that set, per multiple young actors who worked with her. Age maybe was part of this particular issue, but certainly not the entire reason. And good job, MSA, you didn’t want to kiss an adorable guy, so he gets canned, and just half a year later, you have to kiss a guy in his TWENTIES multiple times. And then get mostly written out from that point forward (when the original plan was stay on the show and occasionally smooch the cute one closer in age to ya). Good job, girl. 😂

Did the dug out look much different decades ago? Wondering if there ever was a walking path leading up to the door? So hard to imagine the dugout when you only see the top of the hill. Where there a marker ever where Jack the dog was buried?

They actually don't know exactly where the dugout was from my understanding. Also Jack actually died a few years before but Laura chose to include it as she left to help symbolize the death of her childhood

So interesting about the town being blown up. I had heard Michael did that so no one would come and take what he did and do something with it. I wonder what happened to the church and the little house and barn. I wonder why Nellie didn't play a huge part on little house. It seems Nancy played more part than she did.
