The best way to go is acrylic…after I had a 75 gallon bust on the floor I went acrylic….never looked back….keep up the everyday fight…

Yes I am that I was thinking I had black paint on both my previous saltwater tank but this was quick because of the incident I had with my 40 gallon leaking; it was a quick set up no time to paint but I’m planning of upgrading to a 55 and will try lighting I talk with my reef store they was talking about 400 to 600 for light

Make sure you clean your filters. That stuff will dye everything in the tank

I have already fixed the issue but that great idea with the black curtains; also if you see my last video I’m running my tank with natural lights until I get the lights for corals

What causes seawater to murk? I keep marine aquaria also but I've never experienced this issue with any of my fine sanded aquariums.

It was just bacterial bloom but it cleared up after a day or so; but don’t used clarity it unnecessary I learned that from that experiences

@@Myfishchronicle I’m thinking about doing a community tank. Maybe some schooling fish and potentially some Bolivian rams. I haven’t fully decided on the fish as of yet but that’s kind of what I’m thinking right now. No fish that are crazy big, just ones that would suit those size of tanks.

I used it once but then I modified my hob to run more efficiently and added more beneficial bacteria into the tank now it is clear

the moorish idol, foxface, anthias, tang, angelfish are way too large - they need aquariums like 125-200 gallons and the tomini tang might be alright for a bit but not with the hippo tang. Also probably only one firefish

keep the firefish, clownfish, goby and maybe the cleaner wrasse but they have relatively low survival rates

Wow! Really? People would actually use this stuff?? Nothing and I mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING against SEACHEM because some of their products I trust in like I do with God but I'd prefer to use polyester batting to clean the clouds out of the water column. Did so going on 25 years!!

There has been reports of this killing fish even though they say its safe. It doesnt really disolve the particles it clummps them up and sits in the tank alot of times at the bottom. unless your filter is able to handle clearing it out. Id do a water chabge to help clear some of it out. There is usually no easy fix chemical to fix whater underlying issue that could be going on. How old is this tank? It looks almost like you were having a bacterial bloom which isnt bad its common happens in almost every single newly set up tank thats still cycling could last a bit but goes away. test your waters make sure all your parameters are in check and if they are its just not pleasing on the eye water changes and time will clear up.

It about 2 month old but I have not used it seen I just modified my filter to run more efficient until I get the 55tidal or 75 tidal for the tank. I modified my old top fin pf 40 by using aqua clear 70 foam and aqua clear bio media

@@Myfishchronicle Its been setup for 2 months? Filter floss is a good thing to put in filter will significantly help too. Edit: Maybe what the aqua clear foam is made of im not sure honestly on that product myself.

Because they’re captive bred they don’t really need to host an anemone plus anemone do move around. Also an anemone if it dies it could kill off all your fish. A clownfish can host a Duncan coral as well

Did you say this is a 42 gallon tank? Looks good bro I just set up my saltwater aquarium coming up on 3 weeks and I had a porcupine puffer fish in there less then 24 hours after I set it up and he is still in there almost 3 weeks later , I also just added a rock beauty, raccoon butterfly and dogface puffer , I am looking to add an adult size clown fish and either a snow flake eel or coral beauty in the next week or two

if it ever happens again, put them in freshwater, 5-6 litres of water will also do (dechlorinated) for 3 minutes with same temperature as your main saltwater tank (very important) and after 3 minutes put them back in the main.@@Myfishchronicle

Great question because of the discus and koi able to tolerate warm temperatures; temp 84 ph stable 6.6 ammonia at 0 water change once a week about 50 to 75 percent; also the koi is temporarily because he going to a pond I haven’t done it yet because the pond is outside and weather has been to cold.
