MJ missed his Grade 12 High School Basketball Team while he was trying out to make the Senior Team when he was in Grade 10. He was awesome in College as well. He carried that over to Oct. of 1984 when he started his career as the Rookie of the Year during the 1984/85 season.

One of my dad’s cousins actually coached Dennis at Southeastern Oklahoma… he said Dennis was the most freakishly gifted athlete he ever got to coach, CRAZY strong even then as (what looked like) a string bean, and with a motor that would out-work ANYBODY in the gym, in the parking lot, down the street, in the same zip code, or anywhere else. He said he knew the quiet and shy kid before the Dennis of all the antics and crazy expression, and he was actually a really good kid who just needed to (me did) channel all that expression into something productive.

Mj won dpoy in 88 scoring title dunk contest , and pippin wasn’t an all star yet, mj was still training him and bringing him up. Hardening pippin . In fact , 88 Jordan was by far the greatest nba season ever numbers wise and it’s not even close , 89 is second best nba season ever too 1 and 2. He had 9 more seasons that made top 50 greatest seasons of all time by any player .

Jordan shutdown his man. Pippen and Jordan guarded the best player on the other team. They alternated often during the game. This BS that Pippen did all the defense and Jordan just jacked up shots is just that. Total BS. He won DPY because of lock-down D, piles of blocks, and piles of steals.
