This is fantastic. The most banjo-esque guitar version of this! How can I get the tab?! I think a lesson of this would get a lot of hits(and I could figure out what the heck you're doing on the banjo style part!)

thanks, the tutorial chapter is something that's been popping into my head for a while... actually. However, instead of the short you can watch, if you like, the standard black mountain rag video on my KZfaq channel.

I love this tune...takes me back in time..thank you Paolo! Beautiful lead pickin' my friend, the tape echo was a great idea. Years ago I had an old Memory Man echo that simulated a tape unit but there's nothing like the real thing!

Thank you young man, I take my hat off to your beautiful tribute to Chet's birthday. Your video has also helped and reminded me that my dear mother would have also, had she still been alive, celebrate her '100th'birthday in October 2024! May I also so complement you on your superb guitar playing on the Gretsch 6122-59. Take care Paulo, Best wishes from Victor.

That was one of my favorite albums too. When I was young, a lot of Chet's records were unavailable in my area..but years ago I bought CD re-issues that included this one...great recording! Thanks my friend..good work! (And I got a kick out of your 'wrong note' sign on the screen. If I did that on my tunes, it would be up on every song! Lol 😂)

Above all I try to have fun Rick, thanks for your comment. To best record the delvecchio you would need a very good ribbon microphone and a bit of reverb!!! This is one of my best favorite all time album !!!!

They both sound almost as good as my Korean Epiphone! 😂And yes I have owned L5s including a Wes M. It’s all bollocks. If you sound crap on a cheap guitar you sound crap on an expensive guitar. If you sound good on a cheap guitar you sound good on an expensive guitar. That’s why most of the worlds top virtuoso guitar players cut their reputations playing cheap guitars.

I love comparisons like this so much. Martins have SUCH a soul to them and I love hearing, handling, seeing brand new ones as much as vintage ones. The unmarred, light top of a brand new Martin is like an infant, sure to live a long and rich life. It loves to be played and revels in making music like this as much as the player does. I can't get over it and would love to have one of each of their famous models, maybe even a young one and old one of each. They'll be my friends until I pass them along to another.

Grazie for your reply. Yes, very magical instrument.
