Are you using stock clutch pads? 👍
@FishingEasternCapeSA27 күн бұрын
Im a using slightly upgraded Chinese pads with a custom updraded spring. Much stronger spring.
@HueMongussD27 күн бұрын
@@FishingEasternCapeSA the spring sounds like a good idea. I tried those black rubber pads with white string in them. They suck. They look like they're made from old tire rubber. Btw... The bike sounds amazing! 👍✌️
@FishingEasternCapeSA27 күн бұрын
I use the pink Chinese pads. Spring is a must as it kept slipping. I also cut grooves in the clutch pressure plate, similar to what you see with car clutches. It has never slipped since but I think the spring is what helped the most.

Hi.great vids,what make and size hooks you using?
@FishingEasternCapeSAАй бұрын
I basically always use Mustad 5/0 and 6/0 demon circle when drift with mudprawn and sandprawn.
Hi again.next time could you do a bait demo how to hook mud prawn on the circle hooks.i see you are like using 2 or more at a time.would appreciate that.thanks bud😉
@FishingEasternCapeSAАй бұрын
I basically use a tiny dingle dangle made from a piece of hair curler but you can use anything which will sink, perhaps not foam. Then i put a few prawn on with cotton keeping the hook proud. You should be able to see me baiting up some of my other videos.

where is a nice spot i can fish with lures from the side along the gonubie river targeting garrick and kob?
@FishingEasternCapeSA2 ай бұрын
Many spots but lure fishing is often better to drift and move along on a kayak or boat trying different spots. Standing on the bank you often cant get into the correct zone and you cover less ground. It can work but its just not as successful.
@TheRootedMovement2 ай бұрын
whats the condition of the gonubie river? is it a healthier system than the nahoon and buffalo? i'm passing through EL this weekend and im hoping to wet a line
@FishingEasternCapeSA2 ай бұрын
Gonubie definitely has less sewerage. Nahoon is full of sewerage but there os still plenty life. Lots of kob and grunter. Sadly poaching happening there daily. Guys stand on the batting bridge at night and rape the baby kob.

@FishingEasternCapeSA2 ай бұрын
Its a 2.6m mudskipper which i bought new about 15 years ago. They are no longer made in East London. I believe the mold was sold to a company in Port Elizabeth but not 100% sure. They are awesome boats. Very stable cathedral hull and very light to carry.

Different lures depending on the depth of the location. Not sure of the exact depths but if it hits the bottom its swimming too deep.

Jigging
@FishingEasternCapeSA3 ай бұрын
We would never jig. We troll rapalas. The Leerie hit the lures at speed trying to stun it and they get hooked in the body/tail sometimes. I am passionate about conservation, i strictly release all my catches and i would never participate in illegal jigging or any other illegal activity, especially when it comes to conservation.
