Yes, it's the privately held label so they don't share quarterly earnings reports like other brands 🙂 2023 was a good year for the house, but I have no insights for 2024.

Weak JPY has boosted Japanese tourism this past year. So has the luxury industry benefited from it. Sales will likely slow down when these brands start adjusting the prices in japan

These brands brought these on themselves. Forgetting their bread and butter business come from middle class consumers who are already being pressured by cost of living and no long have the discretionary money left to buy these overpriced products to pretend to be rich. Morever, they have raised prices far beyond what's reasonable to account for inflation while not improving quality. Example, an LV travel pouch in canvas for two thousand euros? They are insane. It's only getting a lot worse for them as more and more people see them as vulgar status symbol for those without money sense and buy less and less.

OTB Group looked good in 2023, Diesel 13% up, Jil Sander 17% and Maison Margiela 23%. Not sure about 2024, they have not posted their earnings reports.

I do not like the new Gucci look, it’s minimalist direction looks like Banana Republic! Versace has gone WAY DOWNHILL in quality, and design…..awful! And I don’t care for Pharrell Williams new designs for LV. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I think part of the BURBERRY problem is the fact that their prices have jumped up since DL took over. A cashmere scarf now cost close to $600. They are trying to compete with high luxury names but the brand is out of its league. BURBERRY will never be on the same level as Hermes or Chanel and shouldn't try. I love the brand but it needs to remain true to it's heritage. On the bright side at least Riccardo Tisci is no longer at Burberry, cringe.

I disagree completely, a turn around only requires a great creative director. Gucci was near bankruptcy and Tom Ford made it a Giant. Yes changing its image takes time, but it can be done. Matter fact its poor image is a change from its original British luxury appeal. You need to create the image, use the image to sell cosmetics and then make hit accessories.

i see the "homeless" look of the past couple years is still continuing. its interesting how a bad global economy and rise in homelessness and immigration in europe and america has influenced the designers based on what they see on the street. people. immigrants, illegals, and homeless dress wearing multi layers, oversized clothes, and dark muted colors. pants inside socks. etc. then that influenced the college kids to wear the same style...vvbut with added vintage thrift shop additions ...the style reflect the times.

It can definitely seem like designers are collaborating behind the scenes 🙂🙂 but in reality, I think it's more about market demands and industry trends / dynamics. Also brands try to predict what will sell best in the future.

Playing with silohuettes or just doesn't fit? So much of these outfits look like they are wearing their older brothers cast-offs! I'm sorry but this set of clothing is is just odd. The idea that we should wear our trousers short so that we look like a child is bonkers. I'm interested in fresh designs but make things fit!
