Great meeting you also. We had a great trip and just recently got back. Finishing up on one or two more videos of our trip out West after Custer State Park and then we have lots of video from the trip to Michigan.

9:05 was dangerous and should not be done by a citizen. If you hunk your horn, they move much faster. Or the truck driver wait to go around. Custer was my favorite none national park to visit. Going through needle highway was nerve racking but fun.

Yes, that guy was lucky that the bison was not turned his way before he got back into the truck. He was foolish.

I am interested in how you set up your batteries, dual batteries charging off one solar panel. How did you wire it ? how do you find it for use ?
@nhbowhunter2 ай бұрын
I have 2 100 amp hour 12v batteries that are wired in parallel so the voltage stays 12v and gives me 200 amp hours of battery. Off grid I used to have my battery drop to less than 50% overnight and now I still have 60-65% battery available in the morning. I have a single 175watt solar panel on the roof. This setup is good for maintaining the batteries enough for me to have power to start my generator to recharge when I’m off grid or to do a slow charge and maintain the batteries. The refrigerator is the largest draw on the system, so I normally put that on night mode in the evening and it still keeps the food cold.

I did stay at wind river koa last year. It was a nice campground until i got to my campground in Grand Teton. The only downside about wind river koa campground, it's a little far from Grand Teton or Yellowstone. 7:44 cool to see three coyotes near each other. Yellowstone is one of my favorite National Parks to visit. I try to visit every year when I travel to the west.
@nhbowhunter3 ай бұрын
Yes, the two hours spent driving each way could have been used exploring the parks more thoroughly. However we enjoyed the drive each day and saved the expense of being right in the park. This trip gave us more ideas on what to see and where we want to spend more time.

You’re welcome. Enjoy your camper. We just (2 weeks ago) returned from a 6,800 mile trip to Moab, Yellowstone and Custer State Park in SD. Uploading those videos soon. Stay tuned.

I did the trip to Moab from NH a few years ago towing a built jeep out there and rented a razor 900 for a day and explored a bunch of trails, super fun!! Take the hike over to delicate arch, definitely stop at the Moab diner and Moab garage restaurant, and need to do a dinner in the restaurant overlooking downtown Moab, it's breathtaking at sunset!! Good luck and have fun! Your old pop up utility trailer is still hauling around town!! Haha

We’re back already. Did the SXS tour and it was a blast. Saved gas hauling it out there and banging up our buggy. We saw the overlook restaurant which looked cool. Ate at the Moab Brewery, great burgers and beer. Did a take out pizza one night. In Arches National Park we hiked to landscape arch in the AM and thought of doing Delicate Arch, but it was mid day and already hot so we took pics from a distance. A great time.

I can understand the video doesn’t do it justice. I have a RZR xp1000 I feel like I should be able to do it without much trouble but is this to advanced for a beginner rider. We have people come with us that will be first timers.
@nhbowhunter Жыл бұрын
This part is only about 100 yards, but Yes, too advanced for a beginner. There is an easy loop around it to bypass this steep section and they can watch you come up.

@nhbowhunter Жыл бұрын
Thanks, it was the best addition to the buggy. When it’s cool in the morning, or when it pours we keep it closed. When it’s hot, or when the cab gets warm we open it to get some circulation. The only draw back is that we usually need to open it when I need to see what is directly in front. The frame tends to block some visibility as the front end is high and we sit low.

Nice videos, I’m enjoying them. How are you filming? It looks like your camera doesn’t move with the machine; is that just image stabilization?
@nhbowhunter2 жыл бұрын
Filmed with a GoPro Hero 7 Black mounted to the side of my helmet. That’s the built in stabilization on the GoPro. I have it connected an external battery pack either on my left arm or in the center storage bag between the seats to extend battery life and the WiFi Remote to turn it on and off is on my left wrist. I have a Movo lavalier microphone attracted to the GoPro and the cable runs through the helmet and the mic is attached on the foam just above my left cheek so my voice isn’t over amplified and you can hear the engine. Thanks for watching. I’m a little behind on my editing but hope to get more vids posted soon. Oh!, and sled season starts soon so watch for those videos coming too!

Stock 12", but I just had a bad lie on the hill. It was very steep and muddy and wasn't able to see directly down in front so I happened to hit the worst spot on that section. You see that when the others in my group went by to my right. The trail angled steeply to the right and there was a huge drop off so I tried to stay center left of the trail and got hung up. When they walked back and directed my slightly to the right it climbed right up. Taken slowly you can make it up. It's a fun trail. The only real issue was the muddy rocks.

@nhbowhunter3 жыл бұрын
The Honda was great for utility and the ability to have two more riders. I do miss having it for working around the yard, and it’s turn radius. My favorite though is the Can Am for our use because we like to take all day rides and the comfort and fit can’t be beat. The bench seats of the Honda take a toll on your back after 9 or ten hours. If I had my way I’d have both.
