Nice perfect scenario story telling. With no Reality of the major not yet engineered items that ate a no go for landing a massive weighty ship! Do you not know the destructive thrust this requires that as of now has no solution! The must construct pads similar to earths. That they have no idea yet !! Starship should land on mars exactly the same as on earth !! They are not able to design one landing system yet. !!

The tanker can also be a booster to help the crewed ship conserve fuel. And oxygen. When landing or taking off from Mars the mothers hip might burn atmosphere and oxygen for propulsion thereby reducing the amount of other fuel on board. A special aux engine would be needed attached to burn the CO2 atmosphere with O2

Unbelievable! Even though you have a brief glimpse of a battery swap, you don't actually mention Battery swap or how many charging piles and swap stations Nio has, with the advantages of driving to one of them, like you would a petrol station and have a battery swap in 3-4 minutes. You done mention BaaS...Battery as a service...this Nio holding a good secondhand value, no battery degradation as the onus is on Nio to provide a battery 'Fit for the purpose' each time you swap.

What rubbish. The batteries are bigger so take up more space. The actual difference in range comes from improvements in energy density, not battery size. You can fit more small batteries in than you can large ones so the overall available energy doesn't change much.

Independent analysis of the 4680 by the Laboratory for Energy Storage and Conversion (LECS) revealed that energy density was lower in the 4680 at 232 - 244 watthours per kg. as opposed to 269 watt hours per kilo for the 2170. Volumetric energy was also found to be lower in the 4680 at 622 - 650 watt hours per litre as opposed to the 2170's 711 watt hours per litre. From a performance perspective, Tesla have missed the mark with the 4680. It's redemption might come when manufacturing costs and volumes are established, however, or when they move away from 40 year old chemistries and into the era of LFP's.
