This video is extremely helpful!!!! I however, would love to see how you would tackle multiple color changes (2 stitches one color, then next 2 stitches a different color, then 1 stitch a third color, etc....)🫣🤔 I've been working on a graphgan with 6 different colors and have had to use the "cut & tie" method.😡 I'm a third of the way done and I put it away......it's making me crazy!!!!🙄🤯 I'd love help or some pointers!!!!!👍 Maybe that's the way this one has to be done.....IDK.🤷♀️😢
@WindingRoadCrochet2 күн бұрын
At that point I might carry 1-2 of the most used colors but the other will need to be cut and tie.

I’m a beginner and I can’t seem to get the hang of the YOSLST. I can’t get my hook through this SL through the other 2 loops no matter how loosely I make my stitches. Any suggestions?
@WindingRoadCrochet4 күн бұрын
The best thing to say is to yarn over really loosely but it is it giving you too much trouble you can replace it with a half double crochet. It will look a little bit different but you would be able to finish the pattern.

@WindingRoadCrochet4 күн бұрын
I think my square was 7-8 inches but it really depends on the yarn and hook you are using.

Thank you for sharing. I have been using this idea, pattern for several different items. Potholders, washcloths, drink coasters, placemats, floormat and now working on an afghan. Have a lot of one kind of yarn, could not decide what to make with, so, I am making a large spiral afghan. Just something different.

I am glad you enjoyed it. I am not asking anyone to be able to read a graph but if they recognize the basic symbols, I think it helps with placement and with pattern repeats.

Hey i have a quick question so im doing a project that needs this design but as i get to the second row of dc stitches the amount of stitches changes and i cant forgure out why. It throws off the whole pattern. Ive checked how many sc stitches ive put and i had not missed anything.
@user-rk5py6pv7t7 күн бұрын
Either that or it's just not going into the last stitch
@WindingRoadCrochet7 күн бұрын
The way I work it up the stitch count should not change. You should work one SC into every DC and CH 1 space. The big question is does the pattern count the turning chain as a stitch. I do not count my turning chain as a stitch but traditionally crocheters do count it as a stitch.

I love this pattern, thank you!! I was wondering if you have instructions on how to size up to an adult?
@WindingRoadCrochet9 күн бұрын
Yes. You can add as many chains as you need to the pattern just know that you are adding those chains to the side of the headband that does not have the hole in it. So once you create the hole for the other end to go through, you should not have increased on the bow side of that hole. I hope that makes sense.

Thank you for providing this pattern! Love built-in borders. I've started a blanket size lg baby (that would be ME) using a giant ball of Big Twist Value Pound Plus yarn and a 5.5 mm hook. Are you familiar with the book "Built-In Crochet Borders" (2015, Annie's Crochet) (Amazon)? This book was written by a former coworker, Rena V. Stevens. You may find more ideas for bordered items there. 💮

Ok I’m making for a newborn girl . Today I did another style it had 50 chains - I chose 67 chains however I decreased my hook size to a 3.5 . And yes I had never done a YOSLS before after watching it 3 times and screaming at my iPad I got it as well !

@WindingRoadCrochet14 күн бұрын
Yes. It does not need any special stitch count....ok, actually I think each side needs to have an even number of stitches but you can make that happen easily.

Really good tutorial but only question is do I sew the straps on or just use a needle
@WindingRoadCrochet15 күн бұрын
The shoulder straps are sewn on by hand. The side straps might be sewn on the back but the button holds them onto the front. I can't remember if there is 2 or 4 buttons.
